Which watches does the 2017 gold Daytona Oysterflex title describe?
Specialist coverage from 2017 identifies three relevant Cosmograph Daytona references. Their distinguishing metal is the gold used for the case; the title alone does not establish a particular dial or specimen.

The available figures do not establish the 116519LN’s period price, current market values, production quantities or investment returns.
What do ceramic and Oysterflex mean on these Daytonas?
“Ceramic” refers to the black Cerachrom bezel named in 2017 specialist coverage. The tachymetric scale on the bezel is intended to help read average speed over a known distance by using elapsed chronograph time. Rolex’s current Daytona overview describes the scale as measuring speeds up to 400 units per hour; that is the manufacturer’s description of the function, not a test of a particular 2017 watch. Oysterflex is Rolex’s name for its bracelet family. Rolex currently describes its construction as two flexible, curved metal blades—one in each bracelet section—overmoulded with high-performance black elastomer. That is the manufacturer’s general construction description; it does not independently establish component fitment for every 2017 reference. Confirm any replacement or sizing part against the exact watch.
What movement is in the 2017 Rolex Daytona Oysterflex?
The 2017 specialist review identifies calibre 4130 in these watches. Rolex’s current Daytona family material describes calibre 4131, which belongs to a later generation. Do not use current-generation specifications to describe a 2017 reference without period documentation. The distinction is confirmed by the current Rolex Daytona page and the 2017 specialist review.

What specifications are established—and which need checking?
Rolex’s current family page lists a 40 mm case and water resistance of 100 metres (330 feet), alongside calibre 4131. Those are current family specifications, not verified here against each 2017 reference. A buyer or reviewer should consult period documentation for the exact reference rather than assume the present-day page describes every detail of the earlier watch.
How to compare or buy a pre-owned example
Start by identifying the reference and dial on the specific watch. The title’s three references differ in gold color, and the title does not settle dial configuration. Then assess the individual watch and seller rather than relying on a family name or asking price alone.
