1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsChoose the 1815 Chronograph if you want the slimmer, smaller case and a traditional instrument-style dial; choose the Datograph Up/Down if you prefer its larger display, outsize date and power-reserve indicator. In this comparison, the Datograph is reference 405.028 and the 1815 is reference 402.026: both are manually wound flyback chronographs with a stated 60-hour power reserve, but they wear and present information differently.

Which case will suit you better?
Pick the 1815 for a thinner, more compact profile
At 39.5 mm across and 10.8 mm high, the cited 1815 reference is 1.5 mm narrower and 2.3 mm thinner than the Datograph. Those differences make it the more compact specification on paper and the likelier fit if you are prioritizing a lower profile under a cuff.

Pick the Datograph if you want a larger presence
The Datograph 405.028 measures 41 mm across and 13.1 mm high. It occupies more vertical and horizontal space, a trade-off for the larger, more information-rich display. Dimensions alone cannot establish how either watch will feel on your wrist; try the exact reference if possible.

How do the dials differ?
Datograph: prominent date and balanced chronograph layout
The Datograph places its outsize date above two subdials. Small seconds sit at 9 o’clock and the jumping chronograph minute counter at 3. The blue dial combines these indications with a power-reserve display, making the watch’s layout more feature-dense.
1815: traditional timing-instrument cues
The argenté 1815 dial uses two slightly recessed subdials, a railway-style minute track, fifth-second graduations and a pulsometer scale. Its design emphasizes elapsed-time reading and a classical instrument aesthetic rather than a large date or reserve indicator. A pulsometer scale is a dial feature; its presence does not by itself establish a medical function or certification.

What do the chronograph functions and movements offer?
Both references are manual-wind flyback chronographs
Each watch has a flyback function, allowing the user to reset a running chronograph and start another timing interval without first stopping it. A. Lange & Söhne describes the 1815 operation as resetting to zero during a running measurement and beginning the next timing operation when the pusher is released. The manufacturer describes the Datograph’s flyback as stopping, resetting and restarting with one pusher actuation.
