Amazfit Balance 2: 1.5-Inch AMOLED, Golf Maps and 45-Meter Recreational Dive Support

The Amazfit Balance 2 pairs sapphire AMOLED hardware and broad sports tracking with golf maps and recreational dive modes, but its 21-day battery and dive claims need context.

The Amazfit Balance 2 combines a 1.5-inch sapphire-protected AMOLED screen, broad fitness tracking, downloadable golf maps and freediving and recreational scuba modes rated for use to 45 meters. Its headline battery claim is up to 21 days under typical use—not a promise for GPS-heavy training—and Amazfit says its dive data is not a substitute for a professional dive computer. Announced for global availability on June 24, 2025, it is now an established model; US list and sale prices have varied, so check the live listing before buying.

What the Balance 2 is—and when it launched

The Balance 2 is a multisport and wellness smartwatch built around long advertised battery life, a durable display and a wide range of activities. It adds a notably unusual combination for a general-purpose watch: golf-course mapping and dedicated recreational-diving modes.

Initial product coverage appeared in May 2025. Amazfit announced global availability on June 24, 2025; regional availability and features can differ. The announced US list price was $299.99. On August 18, 2026, Amazfit’s US storefront also showed a $249.99 discounted price on one product-page variant. That is a dated sale-price signal, not a guaranteed current or permanent price. Check the Amazfit US product page for the price and package details available to you.

For buyers, the central question is not whether it can log many activities, but whether its all-round tracking is enough to replace specialist equipment. The Balance 2 is most compelling as a fitness-first watch with useful golf and recreational-diving extras. It is not a dedicated golf system, a professional dive computer or a full smartwatch-platform substitute.

A 10 ATM rating describes resistance to pressure equivalent to 100 meters of static water under test conditions. It does not mean the watch is approved for diving to 100 meters: Amazfit’s supported dive limit is 45 meters. Sapphire glass is a durability advantage over the original Balance’s standard glass, while the 47.4 mm case may feel large on smaller wrists. The bright AMOLED panel is suited to outdoor viewing, but using it at high brightness or with always-on display enabled can reduce battery life.

Battery life: 21 days is a light-use benchmark

Amazfit’s “up to 21 days” figure is for typical use. The company also gives separate estimates of up to 10 days for heavy use, 33 hours in accurate GPS mode and 67 hours in power-saving GPS mode. These are manufacturer estimates, not guarantees for every configuration. Frequent GPS sessions—such as long runs or rounds of golf—can make the shorter GPS figures more relevant than the typical-use headline.

Always-on display, frequent heart-rate monitoring, sleep tracking, notifications, calls, music playback and repeated screen interaction can also draw down the battery. TechRadar reported that its real-world result was materially below the headline figure when using more demanding settings and workouts; that reviewer’s experience is useful context, not a universal runtime benchmark. The original Balance was advertised for up to 14 days, so the Balance 2 raises the headline typical-use figure, but actual improvement depends on settings and habits.

Amazfit Active 2 Premium Smart Watch 1.32" Sapphire Glass, GPS, iOS/Android
  • STYLISH DESIGN, BRIGHT DISPLAY: The sleek stainless steel build blends classic style with workout durability, while the bright 1.32" AMOLED display keeps your data easy to read, even under bright sunlight.
  • PRECISE HEART RATE AND SLEEP TRACKING: Amazfit's BioTracker technology tracks your heart rate and sleep data with accuracy that previous sensors just can't match.
  • UP TO 10 DAYS OF BATTERY LIFE: With long battery life that lasts up to 10 days with typical use, nightly recharges are a thing of the past.
  • FREE MAPS WITH TURN DIRECTIONS: Stay on-track with free downloadable maps, and get turn-by-turn guidance on-screen or via your Bluetooth headphones. Enjoy ski maps for global resorts, including guidance for cable cars, slopes, and more.
  • FASTER AND MORE ACCURATE GPS TRACKING: 5 satellite positioning systems ensure fast GPS connection and accurate positioning whenever you're out running, walking, cycling or hiking.

Amazfit supplies a charging accessory, but says the package may not include a USB-C cable; check the contents for your region. The roughly two-hour full-charge estimate is also a manufacturer figure.

Golf tracking: maps and on-course tools, with a setup step

Amazfit says the watch supports more than 40,000 downloadable full-color course maps. Golf features include hole navigation, hazard information, scoring and pin relocation. Amazfit’s launch material also describes swing-related feedback, including swing plane and tempo. These features sit alongside the watch’s general fitness and recovery tracking; they do not, by themselves, make it equivalent to specialist golf hardware with deeper shot detection, club tracking, rangefinder functions or launch-monitor analysis.

Course maps are managed through the phone app and should be downloaded before a round. The manual gives this setup path:

Amazfit Balance 3 Smart Watch, 1.5" AMOLED Sapphire Glass, iOS/Android
  • DUAL-BAND GPS & OFFLINE MAPS: Navigate confidently with dual-band positioning and six satellite systems. Use offline maps, turn-by-turn navigation, and automatic rerouting to stay on track without your phone.
  • 21-DAY BATTERY: Get up to 21 days of battery life on a single charge, and never worry about forgetting your charger on trips. Enjoy long battery life performance from work, to workouts, to weekend trips.
  • AMOLED SCREEN & BUILT-IN FLASHLIGHT: A large 1.5" AMOLED screen protected by sapphire glass is easy to read in bright daylight or night. Stay safe and visible in low-light conditions with the built-in white or tactical red flashlight.
  • NO SUBSCRIPTION APP: Health, recovery, and workout data is free to access in the included Zepp App. Track calories and protein goals.
  • APP CONNECTIONS & HYROX TRAINING: Use fitness apps like Strava, TrainingPeaks, Intervals.ICU to share workouts. Improve HYROX training with built-in HYROX training plans and Virtual Pace simulations.
  1. Connect the watch to the phone and open the Zepp App.
  2. Go to Device > Amazfit Balance 2 > Golf > Find Course.
  3. Search by location and radius, then select one or more courses.
  4. Tap Download and wait for the map download to finish.
  5. Manage downloaded maps later at Zepp App > Device > Amazfit Balance 2 > Golf.

Coverage can vary by country and course, so search for your home course in Zepp before buying. Do not assume the watch can fetch an undownloaded map directly on the course. If coverage is uncertain, take a phone or another GPS option. Golf Monthly found the watch enjoyable and capable in testing, but still preferred a dedicated rangefinder in some golf situations.

Diving: 45-meter recreational support, not a dive computer

The Balance 2 has freediving and recreational scuba modes, with dive-related information such as depth and dive time. Its supported depth is up to 45 meters. This software limit is separate from the 10 ATM water-resistance rating: the latter is a hardware pressure rating, not permission to use the watch for a 100-meter dive.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Do not rely on the Balance 2 as your only dive instrument. Amazfit’s manual describes its dive data as reference information, recommends a professional dive computer or backup device for critical decisions, and warns against relying on the watch alone for decompression or no-fly calculations. The product claim does not establish support for technical or decompression diving, gas switching or professional dive planning. Follow recognized diving-safety guidance, dive within your training and use an appropriate buddy and backup equipment. The manual is available at Amazfit Balance 2 user manual.

Fitness and health tracking

The watch offers more than 170 sports modes, including running, cycling, swimming, strength training, HIIT, tennis, pickleball, golf and diving. It uses Amazfit’s BioTracker 6.0 optical sensor and dual-band GPS. Listed wellness and training features include heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep, recovery, VO₂ Max, heart-rate zones and recovery-time estimates. There are also official HYROX modes and templates.

The mode count is a measure of breadth, not proof that each activity has equally detailed or specialized metrics. Optical readings and estimates are best understood as wellness or training information, not medical measurements or diagnoses. TechRadar’s review characterized the Balance 2 as stronger in fitness tracking than in general smartwatch features, and noted the sensor and dual-band GPS improvements.

Amazfit lists synchronization with Strava, adidas Running, TrainingPeaks through Terra, komoot, Relive, Google Fit and Apple Health. Its US product page specifically says Samsung Health and MyFitnessPal do not sync. App integrations can change, so verify compatibility in the Zepp app and your region before purchase. See Amazfit’s Balance 2 product information.

This is a fitness-led watch rather than a direct Apple Watch or Wear OS rival. Buyers who put third-party apps, messaging depth, mobile payments or close phone-platform integration first may prefer a mainstream smartwatch ecosystem. Conversely, someone who values multiweek potential battery life and multisport coverage may accept a more limited smart-app experience.

Who should consider the Balance 2?

  • Multisport users who want one device for gym sessions, running, swimming and recovery tracking, with golf and recreational-diving modes available as extras.
  • Golfers who also train in other sports and are satisfied with downloaded course maps, navigation and scoring rather than specialist shot-analysis equipment.
  • Recreational divers who want supplementary watch-based information and already use appropriate professional dive instrumentation.
  • Battery-conscious buyers who want the potential for long intervals between charges and are willing to tune settings to their usage.
  • Buyers who value a durable screen and can accommodate the 47.4 mm case on their wrist.

Who may be better served elsewhere?

  • Technical or professional divers: use a purpose-built professional dive computer for critical dive planning and decisions.
  • Golf-first buyers: compare dedicated golf watches and rangefinders if you need specialized shot, club or caddie tools. Garmin’s Approach golf watch category is one place to explore golf-focused options.
  • Smartwatch-first buyers: iPhone users prioritizing apps and phone integration can compare the Apple Watch; Android or Samsung users can review Samsung Galaxy Watch options. These are ecosystem alternatives, not direct claims of better battery life or golf and diving capabilities.
  • People invested in Samsung Health or MyFitnessPal: Amazfit’s US page says those services do not sync with the watch.
  • Smaller-wrist buyers: try the large case if possible before committing.

Practical checks before purchase

  • Check the live price and whether any discount is temporary, regional or tied to a bundle.
  • Search Zepp for your courses and download maps before the first round.
  • Consider your likely display, GPS, call and monitoring settings when judging battery life.
  • Confirm the package includes the charging cable you need in your region.
  • Check current Zepp integrations and feature support for your phone and location.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
