1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsThe Amazfit Balance 2 is no longer an unreleased or Europe-only smartwatch. Amazon listings in Spain, France and some other European markets first opened for pre-order at €299.90 ahead of a stated June 24, 2025 release. Amazfit then announced global availability on June 24. As of August 16, 2026, the official US Amazfit store listed the watch at $249.99, reduced from a displayed $299.99 reference price.
That makes the original pre-order report useful historical context, but it is no longer the answer to the buying question. The Balance 2 is now an established fitness smartwatch whose main selling points are long battery life, sapphire glass, dual-band GPS, maps, golf features and 10 ATM water resistance.

What happened with the Amazfit Balance 2 pre-orders?
The Balance 2 launched in China in May 2025. On June 21, contemporary reports identified Amazon pre-order listings in some European countries, specifically including Spain and France. Those listings showed a price of €299.90 and a June 24 release date.
At that point, it was not clear whether the date applied only to Europe or represented a broader launch. Amazfit resolved that uncertainty on June 24, 2025, announcing availability through Amazfit.com, Amazon and selected retailers. The announced launch price was $299.99 in the US and €299.90 in Europe.

The June 24 date should be understood as the listed release date, not proof that every country received identical stock or delivery timing on that day. Retail availability, shipping, payment features and software services can still vary by market.
The original European pre-order report and Amazfit’s global launch announcement document the change from regional pre-orders to a global product launch.
Price and availability now
On August 16, 2026, the official US Amazfit product page listed the Balance 2 at $249.99, shown against a $299.99 reference price. That is a dated store snapshot, not a guarantee of a permanent price or promotion. Buyers should check the live product page for stock, delivery eligibility, color availability and the final price in their country.

The €299.90 European pre-order price was also the announced European launch price. A contemporary report suggested that this could represent an increase of about €130 over the original Balance, but that comparison should be treated cautiously: taxes, regional pricing, retailer discounts and launch promotions can make direct comparisons misleading.

- STYLISH DESIGN, BRIGHT DISPLAY: The sleek stainless steel build blends classic style with workout durability, while the bright 1.32" AMOLED display keeps your data easy to read, even under bright sunlight.
- PRECISE HEART RATE AND SLEEP TRACKING: Amazfit's BioTracker technology tracks your heart rate and sleep data with accuracy that previous sensors just can't match.
- UP TO 10 DAYS OF BATTERY LIFE: With long battery life that lasts up to 10 days with typical use, nightly recharges are a thing of the past.
- FREE MAPS WITH TURN DIRECTIONS: Stay on-track with free downloadable maps, and get turn-by-turn guidance on-screen or via your Bluetooth headphones. Enjoy ski maps for global resorts, including guidance for cable cars, slopes, and more.
- FASTER AND MORE ACCURATE GPS TRACKING: 5 satellite positioning systems ensure fast GPS connection and accurate positioning whenever you're out running, walking, cycling or hiking.
Battery life: the biggest practical advantage
Amazfit rates the 658 mAh battery for up to 21 days of typical use, up to 10 days of heavy use, up to 33 hours in accurate GPS mode and up to 67 hours in power-saving GPS mode.
“Up to 21 days” is a usage-based manufacturer claim, not a guaranteed result. Always-on display, frequent GPS recording, maximum brightness, phone calls, music, maps, diving and continuous sensor activity will reduce endurance. Even so, the Balance 2 is aimed at buyers who would rather charge occasionally than maintain a daily charging routine.
Fitness and training features
The watch supports more than 170 sports modes, although the depth of tracking is not necessarily identical across every mode. Its training features include advanced running metrics, recovery and training-load information, BioCharge-related readiness data, and smart strength-training recognition.
Amazfit says smart strength recognition initially covered 25 exercises. The exact feature set can change through software updates. The watch also includes an official HYROX mode and training templates, making it more relevant to structured hybrid training than a basic step-and-heart-rate tracker.
Heart rate, HRV, blood oxygen, sleep, stress and recovery measurements should be treated as wellness and training information. They are not medical diagnoses or substitutes for clinical equipment.

- DUAL-BAND GPS & OFFLINE MAPS: Navigate confidently with dual-band positioning and six satellite systems. Use offline maps, turn-by-turn navigation, and automatic rerouting to stay on track without your phone.

- AMOLED SCREEN & BUILT-IN FLASHLIGHT: A large 1.5" AMOLED screen protected by sapphire glass is easy to read in bright daylight or night. Stay safe and visible in low-light conditions with the built-in white or tactical red flashlight.
- NO SUBSCRIPTION APP: Health, recovery, and workout data is free to access in the included Zepp App. Track calories and protein goals.

GPS, maps and golf
Dual-band GPS and support for six satellite systems are designed to improve positioning in challenging environments. The watch also supports downloadable maps and turn-by-turn navigation.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsSome navigation capabilities arrived after launch. Amazfit identifies OTA 8, released in June 2026, as adding offline route planning and improvements to GPS heading and topographic-map handling. Those should not be described as launch-day features.
For golfers, Amazfit advertises maps for approximately 40,000 courses worldwide, with distances to greens and hazards, hole layouts and last-swing metrics. Coverage and map availability can vary by region, so golfers should confirm that their courses are supported.
Water resistance and diving: two claims that should not be confused
The official specification gives the Balance 2 a 10 ATM water-resistance rating. This corresponds to pressure equivalent to 100 metres or 328 feet of static water. It does not mean the watch can be safely used at 100 metres in every real-world situation.
Regional Amazfit listings also describe diving use to 45 metres. That is a separate use-case or certification claim and should not be treated as interchangeable with the 10 ATM rating. Anyone planning to scuba dive should check the manual, regional product documentation and warranty language for the market in which the watch is sold.

Software, apps and regional limitations
Setup, health data, workouts, maps and software updates run through the Zepp app. Listed integrations include Strava, adidas Running, TrainingPeaks through Terra, komoot, Relive, Google Fit and Apple Health.
Android 7.0-plus and iOS 15.0-plus compatibility does not mean that every function is identical on both platforms. Zepp Flow voice control, Zepp Pay and NFC payment support vary by country or region, as do some fitness apps, services and integrations. A model sold in one market may therefore expose different features from one sold elsewhere.
Amazfit says the core smart-wearable experience does not require an additional subscription. That does not guarantee that every partner service or regional payment feature is free or available.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Software updates since launch
The Balance 2 has gained features after its original release:
- OTA 8, June 2026: offline route planning, GPS-heading and topographic-map improvements, plus Bluetooth speaker and other diving and synchronization changes.
- OTA 9, July 2026: HybridCharge and Next Hard Session additions.
Update availability can depend on rollout timing, region and software version. The distinction matters because launch coverage may list only the features available in June 2025, while current listings may include capabilities added later.

What comes in the box?
The package includes the watch, straps, a magnetic charging head and a manual. Amazfit does not list a USB-C cable as included. Buyers without a spare USB-C cable will need to provide one, and the package should not be described as including a complete wall charger unless the specific regional box confirms it.
Is the Helio Strap required?
No. The Amazfit Balance 2 and Helio Strap can be purchased and used separately. The watch provides the display, GPS, workout controls, notifications and smartwatch functions. The screen-free Helio Strap is intended to complement it with additional sleep, recovery and fitness tracking.
Buying both creates a broader Zepp training and recovery setup, but it also raises the total cost. The strap is unnecessary if the buyer mainly wants GPS workouts, notifications, maps or a conventional smartwatch.

Who should buy the Balance 2?
The Balance 2 is a strong fit for Android users and multisport shoppers who prioritize battery life over a large app store. Runners, hikers, golfers and outdoor athletes get built-in GPS, maps, extensive workout modes, durable screen protection and substantial water resistance. Existing Amazfit Balance owners may also find the sapphire glass, brighter display, larger battery and expanded outdoor features meaningful upgrades.
The current US store price observed on August 16, 2026 makes the package more compelling than its original $299.99 launch price, provided the promotion is still active when you buy.
Who should skip it?
- iPhone users who want the deepest Apple Watch integration.
- Buyers who require LTE or cellular operation without a phone.
- People who prioritize a mature third-party smartwatch app ecosystem.
- Users who need advanced messaging replies or extensive payment support.
- Small-wrist users who dislike large 47 mm watches.
- Anyone seeking clinical or medical-grade monitoring.
Garmin remains the more natural comparison for buyers focused on a deeper sports-training ecosystem. Huawei Watch GT models also compete on battery life, while Samsung Galaxy Watch, Apple Watch and Google Pixel Watch generally make stronger cases for platform integration and apps. Their suitability depends on phone compatibility, country and the buyer’s priorities.
Bottom line
The original story was accurate but temporary: the Amazfit Balance 2 appeared as a €299.90 pre-order in some European Amazon stores before its stated June 24, 2025 release. Amazfit then announced global availability on that date. By August 16, 2026, it was a commercially available smartwatch, with the official US store showing $249.99 against a $299.99 reference price.
Its appeal is straightforward: long claimed battery life, a bright sapphire-covered display, dual-band GPS, maps, golf support, extensive training tools and 10 ATM water resistance. The trade-offs are equally clear: a large case, region-dependent software and payments, less mature smartwatch apps than Apple or Wear OS alternatives, and no USB-C cable in the box.
