The Amazfit T-Rex Dual Solar collects light from both the display side and a solar surface built into its glass-ceramic back plate. Amazfit estimates up to 34 days of typical use with three hours of front-side sunlight daily, or up to 51 days with the same exposure on the rear panel; those are manufacturer scenarios, not independently verified results. The company announced UK availability from September 22, 2026, at £649.90. That price and launch announcement do not establish availability or pricing across Europe.
How the two solar panels work
The two collectors sit on opposite sides of the watch. Amazfit says the front surface can collect solar energy while the watch is being worn in sufficient sunlight. A second solar surface is integrated into the glass-ceramic back plate, and the company says its collection area is twice that of the front panel.

Amazfit also describes a Solar Priority Mode for low-power, off-wrist solar recovery. The rear collector therefore adds another way to gather light when the watch is not being worn; it does not mean that the watch can remain in full-power use indefinitely without conventional charging.
How much battery life does solar add?
Amazfit’s EU product page gives these typical-use estimates. The solar figures assume three hours of sunlight per day at 50,000 lux:

These are company estimates, not results from an independent test. Actual endurance depends on light exposure and how the watch is used; the figures should not be read as guaranteed runtimes. Amazfit also lists other workload-specific estimates on its German product page, including heavy-use and GPS scenarios, but those use different conditions and should not be mixed with the typical-use figures above.
Is it available in Europe, and what does it cost?
Amazfit’s September 22, 2026 announcement says the watch would be available from that date through Amazfit.com and Amazon UK for £649.90. This establishes the announced UK price and sales channels, not a single European price or confirmed stock in every country.
Amazfit’s EU product page lists the watch, but local prices, shipping and inventory can vary. Check the official Amazfit listing or a local retailer’s checkout for the market where you plan to buy.

What else the watch offers
Display, build and battery
Amazfit specifies a 660 mAh battery and a 1.32-inch AMOLED display with peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits. The manufacturer also lists a Grade 5 titanium bezel, sapphire crystal, a flashlight with a red-light option, and up to 41 hours in Accuracy GPS Mode.
The watch has a 10 ATM water-resistance rating. Amazfit relates that rating to pressure equivalent to 100 meters of static water depth, but it is not an unconditional promise that the watch is suitable for every activity at that depth. The company lists recreational diving support to 50 meters; follow its use limitations for water activities.
Maps and navigation
Amazfit lists preloaded full-color maps, downloadable contour and ski maps, route planning, turn-by-turn and waypoint navigation, points of interest, and a color-coded elevation profile. Its EU product page says point-to-point routes can be created on the watch using preloaded maps without a phone connection or mobile network, and that up to 100 routes can be stored.

Navigation still depends on having appropriate map data. Amazfit cautions that a straight line shown back to a starting point may not represent a practical route. LiveShare is described as sharing real-time location, heading and activity information.
Compatibility and cold-weather mode
Amazfit says the watch works with iOS and Android. Its low-temperature mode is intended to keep essential functions running down to -30°C. Some app and fitness features vary by region, and certain health measurements are for reference rather than medical diagnosis.
What the battery figures do—and do not—tell you
The dual-panel design gives the watch two light-collection surfaces, and Amazfit’s stated rear-side scenario has a higher endurance estimate than its front-side scenario under the specified daily exposure. The figures alone do not establish how much charge a particular wearer will gain outdoors: they depend on the stated light level and duration, and no independent real-world solar or battery test is established here.
