No new Longines Conquest V.H.P. return has been confirmed by the official sources reviewed. Longines introduced the modern collection in 2017 and expanded it with a GMT model in 2018. Its current Conquest collection page lists quartz models but does not show V.H.P. That absence is not a formal discontinuation notice, and it does not confirm a future relaunch.
What does V.H.P. mean on a Longines watch?
V.H.P. stands for “Very High Precision.” Longines introduced the modern Conquest V.H.P. collection on 9 March 2017, framing it as a high-precision quartz watch and a return to the brand’s quartz heritage. In a 21 March 2018 release, Longines described the collection as revisiting an earlier success from the 1980s and returning to a technology in which it had been a pioneer. What did the Conquest V.H.P. offer?
Three-hand and chronograph versions
The original family included three-hand and chronograph watches. Longines’ launch release also described an in-built system intended to resynchronize the hands after exposure to a shock or magnetic field. That is the manufacturer’s 2017 claim, not an independent test result. The reviewed official sources do not establish an annual accuracy figure for the modern V.H.P., so a seconds-per-year specification should not be inferred from them.
GMT Flash Setting
Longines announced the Conquest V.H.P. GMT Flash Setting on 9 September 2018. The model allowed manual time-zone changes and could be set using flash pulses from a smartphone. Longines said the function required no Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection. These details come from the brand’s GMT launch description, rather than hands-on testing.

Does Longines currently list V.H.P. watches?
The official Conquest collection page, as checked for this article, displays Conquest and HydroConquest categories and includes quartz Conquest models, but it does not list V.H.P. in its categories or inspected listings. The page is dynamic and may change. Its current display supports saying that V.H.P. is not listed there; it does not establish that Longines has formally discontinued the line or announce that it will return.
What should buyers of a legacy V.H.P. check?
Anyone considering a used or remaining-stock example should assess the specific reference rather than assuming all V.H.P. watches are interchangeable. Useful checks include:

- Whether its setting functions suit the intended use, particularly for a GMT model.
- The watch’s condition, service history, seller provenance, and whether the seller can explain the specific movement and manual requirements.
No current price or availability is established by the official material cited here. Verify both with the seller, and do not treat a search listing as proof that a watch is currently sold by Longines.

Longines’ L287 V.H.P. manual, whose footer identifies it as a 2021 manual, gives a specific battery warning sequence for that model. The end-of-life warning is indicated by a hand jumping every five seconds. After approximately six months in this mode, the watch switches to end-of-energy mode and the hands stop at 12 o’clock. The manual says that if the battery is replaced after that period, an approved watchmaker will need to program the perpetual calendar. This guidance is specific to the L287 manual and should not be assumed to apply identically to every V.H.P. reference. Consult the official L287 instruction manual.
