The BA111OD Chapter 8 Baillod Family Legacy Special Edition comes in two finishes: stainless steel with blued hands and soft gold PVD with black hands. BA111OD says both reinterpret a late-19th-century pocket watch associated with Charles Baillod. The brand lists a Soprod C110 Swiss automatic movement; the gold version’s published dimensions are 41 mm across and 48 mm lug-to-lug.
What are the two Baillod Family Legacy editions?
BA111OD presents the Chapter 8 Baillod Family Legacy as a contemporary mechanical wristwatch inspired by a late-19th-century Charles Baillod pocket watch. The available finishes are stainless steel with blued hands and soft gold PVD with black hands. The collection page calls the family history 250 years of watchmaking heritage and says the Baillod name appears in Neuchâtel watchmaking records in 1775. Those are BA111OD’s historical claims; the reviewed pages do not independently establish the family’s archival history.
The design features Roman numerals, a railway-style minute track and a small-seconds display. BA111OD says the crown takes inspiration from the pocket watch and describes the caseback engraving as a modern interpretation of its decorative engraving. The brand’s founder, Thomas Baillod, put the collection’s framing this way: “Two and a half centuries of history are not an end point. They are a foundation.”
What specifications does BA111OD list?
Movement
BA111OD identifies a Soprod C110 Swiss automatic movement with 29 jewels, a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, small seconds and an approximately 42-hour power reserve. The brand says the watches are hand-assembled and regulated at its Neuchâtel workshop. These are manufacturer-stated specifications and process claims, not independent performance findings.
