The BALL Engineer II Skindiver Heritage Manufacture Chronometer is the manufacture-movement version of BALL’s Skindiver Heritage diver. The current family is listed as the Engineer II M Skindiver Heritage and uses the automatic RRM7309-C caliber. Its headline specifications include COSC chronometer certification, an 80-hour power reserve and 200 m water resistance, all stated by BALL rather than independently verified here.
Which Skindiver Heritage is the Manufacture Chronometer?
The name can be confusing because BALL also lists older Engineer II Skindiver Heritage watches with a different movement. The Manufacture Chronometer name refers to the RRM7309-C version; BALL’s current product family uses the Engineer II M Skindiver Heritage name and DD3208B references. A 2023 Time+Tide review identifies its reviewed watch as reference DD3208B-S2C-BKR, but that suffix should not be assumed for every current configuration. See BALL’s current listing and the Time+Tide review.
What movement does it use?
BALL lists an automatic BALL Manufacture RRM7309-C caliber, running at 28,800 vibrations per hour, with an 80-hour power reserve and date display. BALL also lists it as a COSC chronometer. The brand’s owner manual defines a BALL chronometer as a mechanical watch whose precision has been tested and verified by COSC; that definition does not establish an individual watch’s test result or provide an accuracy measurement for this specific example. BALL owner manual.
How large is the case?
BALL lists the manufacture version at 42 mm in diameter, 15.2 mm thick, 53 mm lug-to-lug and 22 mm between the lugs. The 53 mm span and 15.2 mm height are worth checking against a watch you already wear, especially if you prefer compact divers. BALL’s listed weight is approximate and varies with configuration.

- Water resistant to 200 m (660 ft): In general, suitable for professional marine activity and serious surface water sports, but not scuba diving.
What are its diving, durability and lume specifications?
BALL specifies water resistance of 200 m / 660 ft, shock resistance of 5,000 G and anti-magnetism of 4,800 A/m. It lists 31 micro gas tubes on the bezel, hour, minute and second hands, and dial for illumination in low light. These are manufacturer specifications, not results of an independent water-resistance, impact, magnetic-field or lume test. See the BALL product listing.
How does it differ from the older Skindiver Heritage?
The older listing is not the same movement configuration as the Manufacture Chronometer. The cited older reference uses the automatic RR1102-C, displays day and date, and is listed at 14.6 mm thick for that TiC-coated case and rubber-strap configuration. The manufacture version uses RRM7309-C, displays date only and is listed at 15.2 mm thick. Both listings specify 200 m water resistance, 4,800 A/m anti-magnetism, 5,000 G shock resistance and 31 micro gas tubes.

Which configurations are listed?
BALL’s listings show steel-bracelet and rubber-strap versions, black and blue dials, and a TiC-coated case-and-bracelet configuration. Finish, dial, strap or bracelet, and listed weight depend on the exact reference. Check the full reference suffix before comparing materials or buying; the DD3208B-S2C-BKR designation in Time+Tide’s review identifies that reviewed configuration, not the entire family.

What did the watch cost when listed?
At retrieval, BALL’s US pages showed an offer of US$3,649 for a steel-bracelet configuration and US$3,749 for one 42 mm configuration, with availability listed as 15 days. Those are volatile US listing details, not guaranteed prices or stock for another region or reference. Time+Tide listed US$3,449 for its reviewed limited-edition version in 2023; that is historical context, not a current quote. The reviewer reported that edition as limited to 1,000 pieces, which should not be generalized to every DD3208B configuration. What should you compare before choosing one?
- Movement: confirm whether the reference has RRM7309-C or the older RR1102-C; the latter adds a day display, while the manufacture listing specifies an 80-hour reserve.
- Fit: compare the 42 mm diameter, 15.2 mm height and 53 mm lug-to-lug span of the manufacture version with a watch that fits you well.
- Configuration: verify the suffix, case finish, dial and bracelet or strap rather than assuming all DD3208B watches are alike.
- Use: treat the water-resistance and robustness figures as BALL’s stated ratings, and check that the exact watch is suitable for your intended activity.
- Purchase terms: confirm current price, stock, seller status and warranty terms for your location before ordering.
