The original Baltic Aquascaphe GMT is a 39 mm automatic travel watch with a Soprod C125 movement, a 24-hour sapphire bezel and 100 m water resistance. Baltic’s archive says the original collection was sold until July 2026; its current listing is for the separate Aquascaphe GMT MK-II, not the original. The older model’s documented launch prices are useful context, but a current resale price has not been established.
What the original Aquascaphe GMT offers
Baltic built the original Aquascaphe GMT around a compact stainless-steel case and a vintage-inspired diver/GMT layout. Its 24-hour bezel is bidirectional and made from sapphire, while the glossy black dial uses Super-LumiNova C1. A double-domed sapphire crystal with internal anti-reflective coating sits above the dial.
The overall proportions are relatively compact for a watch with a rotating GMT bezel: the case measures 39 mm across and 47 mm from lug to lug. Baltic gives its thickness as 13 mm, or 11.2 mm without the crystal. The lugs are 20 mm wide.

How reviewers described it
This is not a firsthand review: the available published judgments come from other watch outlets. Baltic reproduces Hodinkee’s description of the watch as having “the look of the nostalgia-inducing GMT watches of yore, but is a decidedly modern watch in every way that counts.” Baltic also reproduces Worn & Wound’s view that it is “a blast from the past that’s brought into the modern era through playful use of color and solid construction, but retains all of the vintage charm.” These are attributed editorial assessments, not independent performance measurements.

Original Aquascaphe GMT price and availability
The original collection is no longer the model Baltic currently presents for sale. Baltic’s archived page says the original Aquascaphe GMT was sold until July 2026. The prices reported around its launch were EUR 1,105 on rubber by Monochrome Watches, and USD 1,105 on rubber or USD 1,200 on bracelet by Hodinkee. Those are historical launch prices, not current asking prices.
Baltic’s current homepage lists the Aquascaphe GMT MK-II from EUR 850 in the displayed market context as of October 7, 2026. That price belongs to the successor generation and may vary by market or change over time; it is not a price for the original. Current resale pricing for the original has not been established here, so buyers should check live listings and account for condition, included strap or bracelet, and seller terms rather than treating launch pricing as a present-day valuation.

Original Aquascaphe GMT vs. GMT MK-II
The MK-II is a distinct successor, not simply a current listing for the original. The available confirmed differences are limited, so this is not a full technical comparison.

Straps and fit
The original was offered with a vulcanized FKM rubber sport strap, a steel beads-of-rice bracelet, or a steel flat-link bracelet. Baltic describes its straps as compatible with the watch. Its 20 mm lug width is a practical starting point when looking for replacements, but that measurement alone does not guarantee every third-party strap will fit cleanly; check the strap’s shape and end fit before buying.
