Baume & Mercier announced two ice-blue Clifton Baumatic limited editions, with an official launch date of 1 September 2026: the 39 mm Clifton 10870 with a date and the 40 mm Clifton 10872 perpetual calendar. Both pair guilloché-pattern dials with Baumatic movements, but they differ in complications, case size, and what comes on the wrist.
What’s new in the ice-blue Clifton Baumatic editions?
In a press release dated 21 July 2026, Baume & Mercier introduced the two watches as limited editions in its Clifton collection. The 10870 is an automatic date watch on an integrated steel bracelet; the 10872 is an automatic perpetual calendar on a blue alligator strap. Both have ice-blue guilloché dials, 50 m water resistance, and movements with a stated five-day power reserve. Baume & Mercier’s announcement gives 1 September 2026 as the official product launch date.

The specifications come from Baume & Mercier’s official announcement and its global English product page. The brand identifies the 10870 as limited edition but does not give a production count in the reviewed release; do not assume its edition size matches the 10872’s stated 20 pieces.
Shared Baumatic movement specifications
Baume & Mercier lists both movements with a 120-hour (five-day) power reserve and a frequency of 4 Hz, or 28,800 vibrations per hour. The 10872’s BM13-1975 AC2 adds the calendar module needed for its expanded indications. The brand also describes Baumatic as resistant to everyday magnetic fields; that is a manufacturer claim, not an independently verified performance result.

Which one is the better fit?
- Choose the 10870 if: you want the smaller, thinner case, a straightforward date display, and an integrated steel bracelet.
- Consider the 10872 if: you want a perpetual calendar with moon phase and other calendar indications, and prefer a blue alligator strap. It is 1 mm wider and 1.68 mm thicker than the 10870.
These are distinct limited-edition references, not alternative dial versions of the same watch. The choice is chiefly between a simpler date display and a more involved calendar, alongside different wristwear configurations.

The official launch date announced by Baume & Mercier was 1 September 2026. The official pages reviewed provide a shopping path for the 10870 but do not establish current regional stock or a confirmed price in the captured information. Check a live listing for your market before treating either as available or assigning it a price.

Baume & Mercier’s global English product page says buyers may register for a six-year extension to the standard two-year international limited warranty, making an eight-year extended warranty.
