It was covered as a new release in October 2024—not a 2026 debut. Bell & Ross currently presents it as an exclusive edition available through boutiques and its e-boutique, but the available sources do not establish a numbered production limit.
When did the BR-X5 Iridescent launch?
The evidence places the watch’s release coverage in October 2024. A Japanese Bell & Ross boutique listing dated that month described the Iridescent version as an exclusive edition, and a watch-forum post dated 10 October 2024 also referred to it as new. Bell & Ross’s product page describes boutique and e-boutique availability. These descriptions do not confirm a specific production quantity or a numbered limited edition.
Calling it a “new release” today can therefore be misleading if it suggests a 2026 launch. The model may still be listed by the brand, but the launch window supported by the dated sources is October 2024.
What makes the dial iridescent?
The dial’s appearance changes with viewing angle and lighting. Bell & Ross attributes the effect to microstructures and diffraction, and describes using several fine PVD layers in different colors. The official specification characterizes the dial as green to purple; the brand’s descriptive copy also mentions blue and green shimmers with yellow and violet accents. The changing appearance is an optical effect, rather than a single fixed dial color.

Price and availability vary by market
Bell & Ross’s US product page listed the steel-bracelet watch at $9,200 when accessed in 2026 and marked it unavailable. The official Australian page listed AUD 14,200 and showed the watch in stock, but that page had been crawled approximately 11 months before the research access date. Those listings are market-specific and were not synchronized snapshots, so they are not a single global price or a reliable statement of current inventory.
For historical context, a THREEC listing for the Bell & Ross Shinsaibashi Boutique in October 2024 showed ¥1,221,000 for the steel-bracelet configuration and ¥1,155,000 for the white-rubber configuration. Those are dated Japanese local prices, not current quotes. Check the relevant regional boutique or e-boutique for today’s price and stock.

The most useful comparison points are case dimensions, movement and reserve, water resistance, dial treatment, strap configuration, regional price and confirmed availability. Bell & Ross links the BR-X5 Ice Blue Steel and BR-X5 Black Steel as nearby alternatives, but the available listings do not provide a consistent current specification and price set for ranking those models against the Iridescent.
