Its unusual design is part of the appeal—and a reason to try it on before spending €3,290 or more. Bohen publishes the depth rating and movement figures, while the hands-on impressions available are personal reviews, not independent performance tests.
What makes the Bohen StarDiver different?
The StarDiver puts its crown on the left side of the case, at what Bohen describes as the 42-minute position on the bezel. The automatic helium escape valve sits at the 50-minute position. A large minute hand, high-luminescence markers and a ceramic unidirectional 60-click bezel reinforce its purpose-built, technical-diver look. Bohen specifies a 316L stainless-steel case and a grade 5 titanium screw-down case back.
The result is visually assertive rather than conventionally restrained. In a hands-on review dated May 27, 2023, Jorg Weppelink of Fratello Watches called it a “love it or hate it” design. That is one reviewer’s characterization, but it captures an important buying consideration: the StarDiver’s unusual layout and hardware are central to its identity, not details that disappear on the wrist.
How big does the Bohen StarDiver wear?
Bohen lists a 41 mm rotating bezel, a 48 mm length and a case height of 13.8 mm excluding the sapphire crystal, or 14.8 mm including it. Fratello likewise gives the case as 41 mm in diameter, 48 mm lug-to-lug and 14.8 mm thick. The dimensions are substantial enough to make wrist fit worth checking in person, especially if you prefer compact or low-profile watches.

Weppelink reported that the StarDiver felt surprisingly wearable despite its heft. That is a subjective impression from one reviewer, not a guarantee of comfort for every wrist. The left-side crown may also matter to how the case feels depending on how you wear a watch and where it contacts your hand.
What movement is in the Bohen StarDiver?
Bohen identifies the movement as a Swiss automatic Soprod caliber and specifies a 42-hour power reserve, 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), 25 jewels and adjustment to ±4 seconds per day in five positions. The manufacturer also lists Incabloc shock protection, a Glucydur balance and anti-magnetic protection. Fratello repeats the reserve, frequency and adjustment figures, but neither source reports an independent timing test of the reviewed watch. Treat ±4 seconds per day as the stated adjustment specification, not a verified result for an individual example.

Can you adjust the StarDiver bracelet without tools?
The steel bracelet is one of the watch’s most distinctive practical features. Bohen says every straight link has a quick-release mechanism, and the clasp has double-control micro-adjustment. Fratello reports that the bracelet tapers from 24 mm at the case to 16 mm at the buckle, and that its reviewer could fit wrists from 15.1 cm to 22.3 cm without tools. That wrist range is the reviewer’s report rather than a manufacturer-published fit guarantee.
Bohen also lists a compatible black-and-orange silicone strap set. The official watch listing offers a steel-bracelet configuration and a collector option that includes the two silicone straps.

How deep can the Bohen StarDiver go?
Bohen specifies water resistance of 100 ATM, equivalent to 1,000 m or 3,300 ft, and lists an automatic helium escape valve. These are manufacturer specifications; the available sources do not provide independent laboratory validation of the depth rating or establish suitability for a particular dive. A rating alone should not be taken as evidence that a specific watch is ready for a specific diving activity.

The current official product listing shows €3,290 including taxes for the watch with steel bracelet and micro-adjustment clasp, and €3,590 for the collector option with black and orange silicone straps. At these prices, the StarDiver makes most sense for someone who specifically wants its unconventional left-crown layout, extreme-diver styling and elaborate bracelet, rather than simply a conventional mechanical dive watch. The reviewer accounts from Fratello and Dialicious are positive about aspects such as comfort, materials, readability and perceived robustness, but they are individual impressions, not a broad owner consensus or independently measured evidence of performance.
Bohen says the watch listing carries a three-year warranty and the silicone strap set a one-year warranty. The cited product pages do not establish the full warranty exclusions, service geography or return terms; confirm those conditions with the seller before ordering. Bohen describes the StarDiver as limited and states “Only 300 copies” on its English product page. A February 10, 2023 launch post described the first edition as around 300 pieces; neither statement is an independently verified production count.
