To read it, find the cylinder facing forward at the top of the dial: its visible numeral gives the hour, while an arrow on that cylinder points to the minute on the linear scale. The result is a mechanical wandering-hours display, not a conventional set of central hands.
How do you read the time on the Phantasos Triclops?
- Read the minutes: Follow the active cylinder’s arrow pointer against the linear scale at the top of the dial. The retailer describes the scale as marked in five-minute intervals.
- Read the hour: Use the hour shown on the forward-facing cylinder crossing that scale.
The hour and minute indications work together: the cylinder carries the hour, and its pointer indicates minutes. So it is more accurate to describe the Triclops as a wandering-hours watch with rotating cylinders than as a watch with no moving hands or pointers.
How the three-cylinder display works
Each of the carousel’s three arms carries a four-sided rectangular cylinder. As an arm travels across the top of the dial, its cylinder turns to present the next hour facet; as the arms continue around their path, the next cylinder takes its turn at the minute scale. The display combines a three-dimensional rotating hour indicator with a linear minute track.
Independent watch-press coverage describes the design as a three-arm wandering-hours watch built around a module working with a Miyota 90S5 base. That is a description of the architecture, not an independent performance test.

What was specified at launch—and what current listings say
The Japanese launch announcement in 2022 named a Miyota Cal. 90S5 with an hour-rotation module. Current reseller listings do not agree with that launch specification or with one another, so their figures should be treated as listing claims rather than a reconciled specification sheet.

The 36-hour reserve comes from the 2022 launch release, while the current listings state 42 hours. That discrepancy alone does not establish that the movement was upgraded. The launch announcement’s accuracy figure is a stated specification, not an independently verified test result.

Campaign record and current availability
Phantasos Watches’ Kickstarter campaign, titled “A Three Armed Rotating Hour Watch,” ran from December 14, 2021, to January 23, 2022. Kickstarter records 447 backers and $317,322 pledged against a $20,000 goal. Those are campaign figures; they do not establish how many watches were ultimately delivered or produced.
As checked on October 7, 2026, the retailer’s blue listing showed €1,084, marked the watch “Sold out,” and described the example as new old stock. The separate white variant page displayed an add-to-cart option and its own listed price. These are snapshots from one retailer, not evidence of availability across sellers; prices and stock can change.

What to verify before comparing or buying
- Match the variant and source: Check the exact colorway page and read both its specifications table and description where they differ.
- Confirm the movement and reserve: The launch announcement and current reseller pages give conflicting caliber labels and power-reserve figures.
- Check dimensions and fit: The launch announcement gives 13.5 mm thickness, while current listings give 12.0 mm. Confirm the dimensions for the specific watch being offered.
- Confirm water resistance and condition: The 50 m figure is in the launch announcement. For a pre-owned or new-old-stock example, ask the seller about condition and any water-resistance testing rather than assuming the original rating remains valid.
- Verify strap compatibility: Retailer pages mention leather and steel options, but do not establish one universal replacement strap specification. Confirm the exact width and fit for the variant.
The retailer FAQ claims each colorway was limited to 500 pieces, but that number is not corroborated by the cited launch announcement or campaign record. Treat it as a retailer claim, not a confirmed production total.
