The Bradley Taylor Lutria is a 2022, limited-run automatic watch that pairs a restrained two-hand display with an elaborate hand-guilloché dial. Its 39 mm steel case houses a Vaucher micro-rotor movement, while turquoise dial work and purple-toned steel hands give the watch its distinctive character. Bradley Taylor’s official product page now marks the series sold out.
What is the Bradley Taylor Lutria?
The Lutria is the second creation from Canadian independent watchmaker Bradley Taylor, following his Paragon. Introduced in 2022, it is a two-hand watch showing hours and minutes. The Lutria retains the Paragon’s 39 mm stainless-steel case and movement but replaces the earlier model’s dial treatment with a more extensively decorated guilloché surface and removes the seconds indication, according to Monochrome Watches’ launch coverage.
What makes the dial and hands distinctive?
The maker presents the dial in ocean turquoise, with hand-guilloché decoration intended to evoke the sea. Monochrome describes the modified barleycorn pattern as wave-like and connects the color to the waters near Taylor’s Vancouver home. The launch report also lists iridescent blue-green and salmon versions, with bespoke colors available by request at launch; that does not establish current custom-order availability. See the official Lutria page for the maker’s current product information.
The hour and minute hands are handcrafted steel with a purple-toned finish. Monochrome reports they are two-part components that are polished and heat-treated, and that finishing each hand took 12–20 hours. That figure is the launch outlet’s report, not an independent production-time measurement.

Case, crystal and water resistance
| Specification | Bradley Taylor Lutria |
|---|---|
| Case diameter | 39 mm |
| Case thickness | 9.8 mm |
| Lug-to-lug | 47 mm |
| Case material | 316L stainless steel |
| Water resistance | 12 ATM / 120 m, according to the maker |
| Crystals | Sapphire front and back, as reported at launch by Monochrome |
The case dimensions and water-resistance rating come from the official product page. Monochrome’s 2022 report attributes the 120 m rating to a screw-down crown. Water resistance is not a guarantee that a watch is suitable for every water activity, and the available specifications do not establish a service interval or current condition for any pre-owned example.
Which movement does the Lutria use?
The Lutria uses the automatic Vaucher 5401/32, a third-party caliber rather than an in-house Bradley Taylor movement. Its micro-rotor winding system helps keep the movement thin. The maker lists a 48-hour power reserve and a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz); Monochrome gives the movement’s dimensions as 30 mm across and 2.6 mm thick, with 29 jewels.

Monochrome also reports reworked, hand-finished bridges and a hand-guilloché 22K gold rotor. These are launch-report descriptions, not findings from an independent inspection of a watch.
Production, original price and availability
Monochrome reported a production run of 24 pieces and an original price of USD 25,500 when the watch launched in June 2022. That is historical launch pricing, not a current offer or an indication of resale value. Bradley Taylor’s official page currently states, “This series is sold out.” That confirms the maker’s direct availability status, but it does not establish whether a pre-owned example is for sale or at what price.
