British Watchmakers’ Day 2026 took place on Saturday 7 March at Lindley Hall in London. Its archive records a broad independent-watch lineup and event-specific limited editions; the Alliance now lists 6 March 2027 as the next event date. This retrospective separates the documented 2026 programme from details that have not yet been confirmed for 2027.
What was British Watchmakers’ Day 2026?
Organised by the Alliance of British Watch and Clock Makers, the event brought independent British watch brands together at Lindley Hall. The Alliance’s event archive lists the 2026 exhibitors and special editions. It is a record of that show, not an announcement of the next year’s lineup.
Watch Brothers’ 2026 preview reported 48 exhibiting brands and capacity for up to 1,900 visitors across three timed sessions: 10:00–13:00, 13:00–16:00 and 16:00–19:00. The preview described the extension to 19:00 as a first for the event. These are the preview’s figures, not audited attendance totals. It also reported 26 special-edition models and stock watches from 22 additional brands to view. Its claim that the first two sessions had sold out was specific to the time of publication and says nothing about current or future ticket availability. Watch Brothers’ preview also reported £712,000 in watch sales at the 2025 event; that figure is not corroborated here by an Alliance financial report or independent audit.
Which brands and watches featured?
The Alliance archive lists 2026 special editions from Apiar, Beaucroft, Brooklands, Christopher Ward, Detrash, Diatom, Edward Christopher, Elliot Brown, Ember, Farer, Fears, Geckota, Golby, Justin Richardson, Monro, Moriarty, Nomadic, Olivier Meylan, Paulin, Pinion, Pompeak, Schofield, Sidereus, Timor, William Wood and Zero West. The wider exhibitor list also includes names such as Bremont, Arken, Roger W. Smith, Studio Underd0g and Vertex. These names describe the 2026 show only.

Selected editions and quantities in the Alliance’s archive illustrate the range, from one-off pieces to runs of 50. Edition size is not evidence that any pieces remain available.

These names and edition quantities come from the Alliance’s 2026 archive. Watch Brothers’ preview offered further descriptions, including the sterling-silver case of the Fears edition, the hand-screenprinted Paulin Dazzle Clock and the hand-wound Pinion Pure Chance; those are preview descriptions, not independent product assessments.

What were the Geckota Pioneer Graphite specifications?
Geckota’s announcement dated 10 January 2026 gives a useful specification example for readers comparing event editions. The Pioneer Graphite Special Edition was limited to 50 pieces, with a 41.50 mm case diameter, 12.05 mm thickness, 47.80 mm lug-to-lug length and 22 mm lug width. It uses a TMI NH38 automatic movement and is rated to 10 ATM water resistance. The maker specified flat sapphire crystal with internal blue-tinted anti-reflective coating, BGW9 luminous hands and indices, and a choice of yellow, white, blue or orange rubber strap. Geckota’s announcement set the price at £399 and said the watch would first be available at the event and online afterward; this does not establish present-day stock or price.
The 22 mm lug width makes a 22 mm strap a plausible replacement or alternate strap size for this model, but lug width alone does not guarantee compatibility: check the watch’s attachment style and the strap dimensions before buying. Do not assume the same width fits other watches in the show.

Why was Roger W. Smith the headline sponsor?
The Alliance named watchmaker Roger W. Smith headline sponsor and exhibitor for the 2026 event, linking the sponsorship to the 25th anniversary of his business. The announcement said artist-in-residence Sophie Scott Lewis was commissioned to draw a Series 6 in recognition of that anniversary. Smith said: “I’m delighted to support British Watchmakers’ Day as headline sponsor, particularly as it coincides with the 25th anniversary of the business.” Alliance CEO Alistair Audsley described the show as a celebration of Smith’s achievements and his role in the British watch sector. The Alliance’s sponsor announcement contains both statements.
What else was new at the 2026 show?
Watch Brothers’ preview reported that official event merchandise would be available for the first time. It also said Studio Underd0g planned to present its D0ghouse Studio rather than sell a special edition. These are details from the preview, not independently verified post-event reports.

When is the next British Watchmakers’ Day?
The Alliance’s event page currently promotes 6 March 2027 as the next date. Its page also retains 2026 ticket-session text and a ticket control, so that interface should not be treated as proof that tickets are currently on sale. The cited information does not confirm 2027 ticket availability, exhibitors, prices or special editions; check the Alliance’s current event information for updates.
How should you compare the archived editions?
For a watch that may be obtainable after the show, start with the maker’s current listing rather than the event archive. The archive establishes announced edition quantities, while Geckota’s dated announcement supplies fuller specifications for one model. Before deciding, verify current price and availability directly with the maker, then compare the factors that affect fit and use:
