Kane Lee, 28, of Luton, has been sentenced to four years in prison after admitting the burglary of snooker player Kyren Wilson’s home in Barton Seagrave, Northamptonshire. The 22 June 2026 break-in involved luxury watches, jewellery, designer bags, cash and about £2,000 intended for a children’s cancer charity. A £228 surcharge was also imposed.
Who burgled Kyren Wilson’s house?
The burglar was Kane Lee, aged 28 and from Luton. Northamptonshire Police said Lee targeted Wilson’s four-bedroom detached house on 22 June 2026, while Wilson was in Leicester playing snooker.

Lee bought tools and clothing from B&Q and Tesco, then drove to the property in a vehicle fitted with cloned number plates. Shortly before 11am, he smashed an upstairs window and entered the house.
Northamptonshire Police and Bedfordshire Police worked together to identify and arrest him. Lee pleaded guilty at Northampton Crown Court on 12 October 2026. The case had originally been listed for trial in January 2027, but the guilty plea removed the need for that trial.

Local reporting put the total haul at about £250,000. That figure is a 2026 media estimate of the stolen property, not a court valuation. In addition to the three watches, the reported items included a blue sapphire necklace, designer handbags and cash.

About £2,000 of the cash had been intended for the BeMoreFab children’s cancer charity. Its inclusion meant that the burglary affected money set aside for charitable work as well as Wilson’s personal belongings.

Wilson said the incident was “a deeply distressing experience, not because of the value of the items alone, but because of the personal memories and meaning attached to them.” He withdrew from the Championship League Snooker event in Leicester after the burglary.

Detective Inspector Alan Rooney of Northamptonshire Police said: “People often underestimate how violating it can feel to know that someone has been inside your home with the sole intent of stealing your property and we are pleased that the sentence reflects how much a crime such as this can affect someone.”
