Casio America lists the MDV106C-3AV at $110.00 in the United States. That is the only directly verified current price in the launch information, so it should not be generalized to the 1AV or 5AV without checking those pages. US stock status can also change after launch.

For context only, Notebookcheck reported a $79.95 list price and a temporary $45.17 Amazon price for older MDV-106 variants in 2025. Those figures are not current MDV106C pricing and should not be used as a purchase quote for the new watches.

The dimensions make this a substantial watch rather than a compact dress model. The 44.2 mm width and 12.1 mm thickness should be checked against your wrist and cuff clearance, while the stated 175–215 mm band range covers many adult wrists. The 96 g listed weight is moderate for a steel, water-resistant watch.

What “200-meter water resistance” means here
The MDV106C specification is supported by a screw-lock crown, screw-lock back and anti-reverse bezel. Casio describes the rating as “200-meter water resistance for plenty of reliability,” and identifies a “Reliable screw-lock crown” and a “Rotary bezel.” Those features are appropriate for a watch intended to remain secure during swimming and snorkeling.

However, 200 meters is a water-resistance rating, not proof of professional-diving certification. Casio’s own Frogman guidance says the MDV106 is “Although not an ISO-rated dive watch” and frames it for swimmers and snorkelers. The MDV106C should therefore not be represented as an ISO-certified professional dive instrument. Divers who need an ISO-rated tool watch should verify separate certification and equipment requirements rather than relying on the depth number alone.

Band comfort and replacement considerations
The factory band is cloth, which can feel lighter and less rigid than a metal bracelet. Cloth also offers a straightforward replacement path if it becomes worn or if you prefer a different texture. Casio lists compatibility for wrists from 175 to 215 mm, but that measurement alone does not establish the lug width, spring-bar type or attachment geometry.
Before ordering a replacement, measure the watch’s actual lug or attachment dimensions and confirm the strap hardware. Treat “175–215 mm replacement strap” as a starting compatibility lead, not a guarantee that every strap in that size range will fit.

Battery, accuracy and daily ownership
The listed SR626SW battery life is approximately three years. Actual service timing can vary with battery quality, storage and operating conditions, so the figure is an estimate rather than a warranty period. The stated accuracy of ±20 seconds per month is typical of a quartz analog watch: it may gain or lose several minutes over a year, even while remaining within specification.
