Does the WS-B1000 count steps?
Yes. Casio says the built-in accelerometer senses body movement and counts steps. On the US specification page, the displayed count runs from 0 to 999,999 steps. Step goals can be set from 1,000 to 50,000 in 1,000-step increments; the watch also includes a step reminder and a graph showing hourly steps over the previous seven hours.

With a paired phone, step counts can be sent to the phone. Casio also lists life-log data among the international app functions. These are activity-tracking features rather than evidence that the watch measures every activity or provides the broader health functions of a smartwatch.

How long does the WS-B1000 battery last?
Casio US estimates approximately two years on a CR2016 battery. This is the manufacturer’s approximate specification, not a guaranteed service interval or an independently tested battery-life result. Actual life can depend on use, including features such as the backlight and Bluetooth connection.
Casio names the CR2016 in the battery-life specification. Confirm the model-specific replacement instructions before opening or servicing the watch.
