The blue-dial Certina DS Action Diver Titanium discussed here is reference C048.407.44.041.00: a 40.5mm automatic diver with a titanium case and bracelet, ceramic bezel, and Powermatic 80.611 movement. Certina lists up to 80 hours of power reserve and specifies 300m water resistance with ISO 6425:2018 certification for the 40.5mm line. This is an assessment of the published specifications, not a firsthand wear or performance test.
Which Certina DS Action Diver Titanium is this?
Certina sells several watches under the DS Action Diver name. Reference C048.407.44.041.00 is the blue-dial, 40.5mm titanium automatic; its official product sheet lists a titanium case and bracelet and a ceramic bezel. The 38mm titanium version and 40.5mm steel watches are separate models, so their dimensions and material details should not be assigned to this reference.
The 40.5mm model was announced by Certina on 29 April 2025. A separate release for the 38mm titanium model followed on 30 April 2026. Certina describes the 40.5mm watch as the first to use its “New DS Concept Extreme Shock Resistance” system; that is the manufacturer’s launch claim, not an independently tested finding.

How the 40.5mm case may fit
The published dimensions are 40.5mm across, 14.1mm thick, and 20mm between the lugs. Those figures offer a starting point for comparison, but diameter alone does not tell you how a watch will sit on your wrist. The official titanium sheet does not give lug-to-lug length or weight, so neither can be stated reliably here.

For a useful in-person fit check, assess the actual watch on your wrist rather than borrowing measurements from a similar-looking model. In particular, look at how far the case reaches across your wrist, how the bracelet articulates, and whether the height clears a shirt cuff. A steel DS Action Diver is not a valid source for the titanium model’s weight or lug-to-lug measurement: for example, Certina’s white-dial steel reference C048.407.11.011.00 is listed at 190g and 48.3mm lug-to-lug, with a 316L steel case and bracelet.
Movement and reserve
Certina specifies the automatic Powermatic 80.611, with an ETA identification, Swiss Made designation, and Nivachron balance spring. Its stated maximum reserve is 80 hours. That is a manufacturer’s specification, not a timing result or a guarantee that a particular example will run for exactly that duration under every condition.

The available product information does not establish how accurately this watch runs on an individual wrist. A meaningful accuracy report would need an actual measurement period and method, along with relevant conditions such as winding state and positions. No such test data is available for this assessment.
Diving credentials and what they establish
Certina states that the 40.5mm line is water-resistant to 300m and certified to ISO 6425:2018. In its 29 April 2025 announcement, the company said the model meets the highest standards for professional dive watches. These are manufacturer specifications and claims; they are not a report of a water test performed for this article.

The rating and certification are relevant when evaluating the watch as a dive-style tool, but they do not answer questions about how the bezel operates, how clearly the dial reads underwater, how the lume performs, or how the bracelet and extension behave in use. Those depend on direct inspection or testing rather than the specification sheet.
Bracelet, bezel, and other hands-on questions
The product sheet confirms a titanium bracelet with quick-release system, titanium buckle, and diver extension, but it does not describe their feel or ease of adjustment. There are no firsthand observations here about bracelet drape, clasp comfort, extension operation, bezel action, or lume.

Before treating this as a complete hands-on review, a wearer would need to check those details on the watch itself. A proper field assessment should also record wrist circumference and the watch’s measured lug-to-lug span and weight, then distinguish observed movement accuracy from Certina’s nominal reserve and water-resistance specifications.

When comparing it with other DS Action Diver watches, keep the reference and evidence aligned:
- 40.5mm titanium: C048.407.44.041.00, the blue-dial model covered here. Its official sheet confirms titanium construction and the dimensions listed above, but not weight or lug-to-lug length.
- 40.5mm steel: a different material and reference. The white-dial C048.407.11.011.00, for example, is listed with a 316L steel case and bracelet, 190g weight, and 48.3mm lug-to-lug; those figures do not describe the titanium watch.
- 38mm titanium: a separate, smaller model. Certina’s 30 April 2026 release describes that version as grade 2 titanium with a ceramic bezel; it does not establish the alloy grade of the 40.5mm reference.
Compare the actual references for fit, case and bracelet material, verified weight and lug-to-lug span, movement, certified water resistance, and regional price. Do not assume that a shared collection name means shared dimensions or specifications.
