Its 24-hour GMT hand tracks a second time zone while the regular hands show local time. The main caveats are that current package details and checkout pricing need to be confirmed for the exact variant, and the most detailed hands-on review available here is from 2021.
What is the CuleM Frame GMT?
The Frame belongs to CuleM’s World GMT collection. Its defining feature is a two-dimensional map dial: angular continent shapes sit against the dial, with a contrasting 24-hour ring and an outer seconds track. CuleM currently lists Frame GMT in grey, blue and black, though specifications and included accessories should be checked against the selected current listing. CuleM’s World GMT collection
Launch-era descriptions specify a sapphire front crystal with anti-reflective coating, a mineral exhibition caseback and a 316L stainless-steel case. These details come from coverage of the original World GMT range and may not apply identically to every later revision. Monochrome Watches’ launch-era overview
How does the GMT hand work?
The regular hour and minute hands show local time. A separate hand makes one rotation every 24 hours, letting you read a second time zone against the 24-hour scale. The city and time-zone markings on the back can help you work out the destination time. This is a dual-time display, not a world timer that shows every time zone simultaneously.

The launch-era specification and 2021 review identify the movement as an ETA 2893-2 automatic with GMT and date functions. Treat that as historical evidence rather than a guarantee for every current variant: confirm the movement for the exact watch being sold. Monochrome Watches and WatchPro USA’s 2021 review
What are the specifications?
The following figures come from Monochrome Watches’ launch-era specifications for the World GMT and may not describe every later version. They are published specifications, not measurements made for this review.
| Specification | Published value |
|---|---|
| Case diameter | 40 mm |
| Case thickness | 10.15 mm |
| Water resistance | 50 m |
| Case material | 316L stainless steel |
| Movement | ETA 2893-2 automatic; 21 jewels |
| Frequency | 28,800 vibrations per hour |
| Power reserve | 42 hours |
| Published adjustment and rate figures | Adjusted in five positions; stated average rate of ±4 seconds per day and allowable variance of ±15 seconds per day |
| Functions | Central hours and minutes, hacking seconds, GMT and date |
WatchPro independently reported a 40 mm case and 50 m water resistance for the version its reviewer wore. Those figures support the dimensions for that reviewed watch, not necessarily every current revision. WatchPro USA
Is the CuleM Frame GMT hard to read?
Readability depends in part on the dial color. Rob Corder’s March 2021 WatchPro review of the white-dial version describes silver geometric land shapes, polished steel markers, sword-shaped hour and minute hands, a slim seconds hand, a red-tipped GMT hand and a date at six. He found the pale numerals on the white-and-grey 24-hour band difficult to read and reported that the hands on his reviewed watch had no luminous treatment. Corder said darker variants addressed the numeral-contrast issue; that is his assessment, not a comparative test across the current range. WatchPro USA’s review
Rank #2
- Comes with individual box
- 24 hour hand (dual time display function)
- Day difference + 45 to -35 seconds
- Mechanical automatic movement (with hand winding)
- Lasts approximately 41 hours on maximum winding
How does it wear?
Corder reported that the 40 mm watch felt comfortable on his wrist and slipped beneath a cuff. That is one reviewer’s experience, not a multi-wrist fit assessment. He wore the watch over about a month, shared it with his wife and briefly used a watch winder; he wrote that “it is still spot on.” The account is anecdotal and includes no timegrapher readings or controlled daily-rate log, so it should not be read as an accuracy test. What straps come with the CuleM Frame GMT?
Published package details differ, which likely reflects different generations or listings. Monochrome’s launch-era description specifies two 21 mm Italian leather straps with quick-release levers. WatchPro describes an exposed-bar spring arrangement for strap changes and a supple Milanese mesh bracelet on its reviewed watch. CuleM’s current listing advertises three included straps. Confirm what ships with the exact variant before ordering, and verify lug width and spring-bar style before buying a replacement strap. Monochrome Watches, WatchPro USA and CuleM

CuleM’s current collection page lists grey, blue and black Frame GMT variants and advertises a 50% checkout sale alongside “very limited stock” language. The available listing information does not establish a stable exact checkout price for each configuration. Check the selected variant’s currency, final checkout amount, regional shipping and stock status at the time of purchase. CuleM’s World GMT collection
Older prices are useful only as historical context: WatchPro listed $1,080 in its March 2021 review, while Monochrome’s 2019 article reported Kickstarter starting prices of EUR 1,249/USD 1,399 for non-gold editions and later full retail prices of EUR 2,499/USD 2,810. None of these figures should be treated as a current offer. WatchPro USA and Monochrome Watches

How does the Frame compare with other CuleM GMT designs?
The Frame is the collection’s angular, two-dimensional map treatment. CuleM’s other designs provide different visual approaches, but current model-by-model specifications were not established in the cited coverage.
| Design | Map treatment described in collection coverage |
|---|---|
| Frame | Angular, flat map dial |
| Portal | Raised, three-dimensional map appearance |
| Lights | Illuminated city or map treatment |
Compare the exact current listing for dial legibility, lume, case finish, strap package and price rather than assuming one model’s specifications carry over to another. Monochrome Watches and CuleM
What does CuleM claim about tree planting?
CuleM’s current website says, “For every watch we sell, we’re planting 10 trees in Madagascar, Peru or Uganda.” This is the company’s present claim; the cited page does not independently audit the planting outcome. CuleM
WatchPro’s 2021 article reported different historical company figures: for the prior year, the company had promised 100 trees and protection of more than six acres of threatened rainforest per watch, and it reported cumulative figures of 12,769 trees and more than 200 acres. Those period-specific historical claims are not the same measure as CuleM’s current per-watch statement. WatchPro USA
