In a 2018 hands-on review, Fratello’s Bert Buijsrogge found the crown comfortable on his wrist despite its size; the article is a dated account of one Silver Edition, not evidence of current availability or every variant’s specifications.
What stands out about the Diadem’s design?
Buijsrogge described the reviewed Silver Edition as a polished stainless-steel watch measuring 44 mm across. He called the case relatively slim, but the review does not provide a thickness measurement. The large crown is a prominent design feature. In his own wearing experience, it did not feel uncomfortable: that observation is specific to the reviewer and should not be treated as a fit guarantee.
The dial combines different shapes, finishes and colors that catch the light. Fratello said its appearance can suggest guilloché, but did not identify it as guilloché or explain how the pattern is made. The date window sits at 6 o’clock.
What movement does the reviewed Silver Edition use?
Fratello reported an ETA 2824 automatic movement, visible through an open case back. The movement is decorated with perlage and Geneva stripes, and its rotor carries a DB Milau logo. The unusual forms surrounding it are decorative, according to the article.

The hands-on review does not state measured accuracy, a service interval, water resistance, power reserve or case thickness for the Silver Edition. Specifications reported for a different Diadem variant should not be assumed to apply to this watch.
Which straps and case finishes were reported in 2018?
The loan watch in Fratello’s August 10, 2018 article had a black calf-leather strap with a crocodile finish and a polished butterfly clasp. The article also reported a similar brown strap at the same price, plus stainless-steel or mesh bracelet options for an additional €150. At that time, gold-tone and black DLC-coated configurations were also available. These are historical options, not confirmation of what can be ordered now.

What did the Diadem cost?
Fratello reported a starting price of €2,500 for the Silver Edition loan model in 2018. That figure is historical; it is not a current retail offer or valuation.
A separate Timepiece Trader listing for a pre-owned Diadem Black described it as “LNIB” and unworn, with an asking price of $2,376 against a stated retail price of $2,970. Those are seller-reported listing details, not a current market benchmark, and listing status and price can change.

What is known about the Diadem Black variant?
Timepiece Trader’s listing for the Diadem Black states a 44 mm case diameter, automatic movement, date display, sapphire crystal, 50 m water resistance, a 22 mm leather band and a 38-hour power reserve. These specifications belong to the seller’s listing for that black variant; they are not a factory-wide specification sheet and do not establish the Silver Edition’s water resistance, strap width or power reserve.
