What is the Depancel × DAMS Lucas Oil Série-R 01?
Depancel, a French independent watch brand with automotive design influences, presented the Série-R 01 as a collaboration with the DAMS Lucas Oil racing team for the 2026 season. DAMS Lucas Oil dated its announcement March 5, 2026, and described the watch as a tribute to performance. Both parties identify the edition as limited to 200 numbered pieces. The Série-R 01 is a calendar watch, not a chronograph. Its stated functions are timekeeping and day, month and date displays; the specifications do not identify a stopwatch function.
Design: a blue dial with racing cues
The dial uses DAMS Lucas Oil branding and team colors: deep blue with lighter-blue accents. Depancel describes a two-level construction, with a sunray-finished central area and vertical lines on the upper section. Day and month appear in subdials at 9 and 3 o’clock; a date window sits at 6 o’clock, beneath the DAMS Lucas Oil logo.

Depancel’s product page and its US archive currently mark the watch sold out. The US product listing and archive display $895, which is the listed US price—not evidence that a new watch can currently be purchased from Depancel. The archive also shows other Depancel references, but their availability should be checked on their live listings. Depancel’s US archive is the source for the sold-out status and displayed US price; the brand’s US homepage shows its broader collections, not stock for this limited edition.
The official listings do not establish whether the watch is available through resellers or on the secondary market, nor do they establish current resale prices. Depancel says the limited edition will not be reproduced; that is the manufacturer’s stated plan, not independently verified future production behavior.
Warranty, packaging and strap fit
Depancel says each watch is supplied with a box and travel case and includes a five-year warranty. Those are manufacturer statements; consult the product page for the current warranty terms.
The specified 22 mm lug width makes a 22 mm watch strap a relevant accessory option. Width alone does not confirm that a particular strap, clasp or connector will fit, so check the strap’s attachment and compatibility before buying.
