The DOXA SUB 1500T Professional is a large automatic dive watch with a 45 mm case, 16.25 mm height, helium release valve and a manufacturer-stated 1,500-meter water-resistance rating. DOXA’s US page lists the steel-bracelet Professional at $2,690; rubber-strap versions are also listed. Those headline specifications are useful for comparing variants, but the depth rating is not a recommendation to dive to that depth.
How large is the DOXA SUB 1500T?
The Professional measures 45.00 mm across, 47.00 mm from lug to lug, and 16.25 mm thick, with a 21 mm lug width, according to DOXA’s product specifications. That makes it a substantial watch on paper. Dimensions alone cannot establish how it will fit a particular wrist; compare them with a watch you already wear or try the 1500T on if fit is a priority.

What does the 1,500-meter rating mean?
DOXA’s technical specification lists the SUB 1500T at 150 ATM, 1,500 meters or 5,249 feet. The same product page’s introductory text instead says 160 ATM while pairing it with 1,500 meters. Because the manufacturer page is internally inconsistent, the technical table’s 150 ATM figure is the clearest listed specification, but the discrepancy is worth noting when precision matters.

What are the main features?
- Movement: Swiss mechanical automatic, self-winding, with a stated 50-hour power reserve and 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz); DOXA says it is decorated.
- Display: Hours, minutes, seconds and date beneath a sapphire crystal.
- Bezel: A unidirectional rotating bezel marked in feet. It provides a dive-time reference; the one-way rotation is designed to avoid extending the indicated elapsed time if the bezel is accidentally moved.
- Helium release valve: Included for use in saturation-diving contexts where helium can enter a watch during exposure to a pressurized helium-rich environment. It is a specialized feature, not a requirement for ordinary recreational diving or everyday wear.
- Visibility: DOXA specifies Super-LumiNova on mission-critical dive information.
- Construction: 316L stainless-steel case, screw-down crown and caseback.
These are manufacturer specifications; they do not establish independent test results, real-world dive performance or accuracy.
Which 1500T variant should you compare?
DOXA’s collection page shows five dial-color names: Professional, Sharkhunter, Searambler, Caribbean and Divingstar. The collection listing also presents steel-bracelet and rubber-strap configurations. The cited pages establish the color names and configurations, but do not provide a technical distinction among those dial variants.
| Choice | What DOXA lists | Useful consideration |
|---|---|---|
| Dial | Professional, Sharkhunter, Searambler, Caribbean and Divingstar | Choose by color preference; the cited pages do not establish different specifications by dial name. |
| Bracelet | Stainless-steel bracelet with folding clasp and wetsuit extension | A metal option with an extension intended to accommodate a wetsuit. |
| Rubber | FKM rubber strap with folding clasp and ratcheting wetsuit extension | A rubber alternative; check the live listing for the exact configuration and included hardware. |
Both configurations use the stated 21 mm lug width. DOXA also lists model-specific replacement bracelets, straps and clasp options on its product page.

Who is the 1500T best suited to?
The SUB 1500T is worth considering if you want a large-format steel dive watch, prefer its dial colors and are interested in features such as a marked unidirectional bezel and helium release valve. Its 45 mm diameter and 16.25 mm height are especially important to compare against your fit preferences. The helium valve and exceptional stated depth rating are specialized specifications; for many buyers, dial, dimensions and bracelet-versus-rubber choice will be more practical decision points.
