Earthen Co. introduced the Summit Collection in 2025 as its debut range: ceramic watches inspired by skiing and alpine settings. The original launch comprised Blue Bird, Whiteout and Overcast. Earthen’s current lineup is the Summit MK II, with updated product pages and availability that can vary by model. Here’s how the launch range relates to the current watches and what the specifications and price mean for a buyer.
What was the Summit Collection launch?
Time+Tide reported the Summit as Earthen Co.’s first collection in August 2025. Its three launch models were Blue Bird, Whiteout and Overcast, each built around a ceramic case and an alpine-inspired design. The name Earthen refers to earthenware, according to the launch feature. The reported launch price was US$899 per watch; that is a historical launch figure, not a guarantee of today’s price or stock. Time+Tide’s 2025 launch feature has the original announcement and specifications.
Time+Tide quoted co-founder Johnathan Chan describing the design aim: “We wanted to create the ultimate ski watch – one that’s water-resistant, legible, and built to last,” says Johnathan Chan, Co-founder of Earthen Company and The Horology Club. “Ceramic allows us to play with colours and finishing textures in a way steel can’t, while staying true to the proportions and details we love in vintage watches.” This is the founder’s explanation of the concept, not an independent performance assessment.
Original launch specifications
The following figures describe the launch models as reported in 2025; they should not be assumed to establish the specifications of every later variant without checking its current product listing.

What is different about the current Summit MK II?
Earthen’s current product information identifies the range as Summit MK II. Its FAQ lists Blue Bird, Whiteout and Overcast among the dial options, and the collection page also lists Dawn Til Dusk MK II. That means the 2025 launch trio and the present lineup are related, but not interchangeable snapshots of the collection. Check the individual product page for the exact variant and current availability.
How the current variants look
- Blue Bird: Earthen describes an all-lume white dial.
- Whiteout: a white ceramic case paired with a matte black dial.
- Overcast: a matte black ceramic case with a muted, dark alpine-inspired dial.
- Dawn Til Dusk MK II: listed on Earthen’s current collection page; consult its product page for the current colorway and details.
These descriptions help distinguish the options visually, but do not substitute for viewing the actual dial and case finish. In particular, a dial described as all-lume is a design feature; the available information does not establish comparative brightness or legibility through independent testing.

What movement, size and water resistance does the Summit MK II have?
According to Earthen’s FAQ, the Summit MK II uses an automatic Miyota 9039 with approximately 42 hours of power reserve. Earthen lists a ceramic case, sapphire crystal, 38 mm diameter, 45 mm lug-to-lug length, 10 mm thickness including the glass, 20 mm lug width and 100 m / 10 ATM water resistance. These are manufacturer-stated specifications, not independently verified test results. Earthen’s FAQ is the source for the current published specifications and terms.
The 38 mm diameter and 45 mm lug-to-lug measurement offer more context for fit than diameter alone: lug-to-lug describes the length across the watch from one end of the lugs to the other. The 20 mm lug width is relevant when looking for a replacement strap, but confirm the attachment and fit for the specific watch before buying an accessory.

How much does it cost, and where is it available?
Earthen’s official FAQ lists a price point of $899 USD. Its collection page shows some Summit MK II variants at that price and availability differs by model; stock can change, so check the live listing before ordering. The launch-era $899 report and the current FAQ price happen to match, but neither should be treated as a promise that every variant is available at that price at all times. Earthen’s collection page is the place to check current models, listed prices and stock.
Distribution is not limited to Earthen’s own storefront. A Japanese retail announcement dated September 17, 2026, says the brand was making its Japanese debut through H°M’S” WatchStore, featuring the Summit MK II range. Time+Tide also lists Earthen models through its retailer collection. Those channels show that availability can differ by retailer and market; they do not establish universal distribution. H°M’S” WatchStore and Time+Tide’s Earthen collection provide examples of those retail channels.
What should buyers check before ordering?
- Variant and stock: Confirm the exact MK II model, live availability and any delivery estimate on the seller’s current listing.
- Final delivered cost: Earthen says US taxes and duties are collected at checkout. Shipping and taxes can depend on destination, so review the final checkout total rather than relying on the listed watch price.
- Warranty: Earthen states that its warranty is valid for one year from the order date and lists exclusions in its FAQ. Read the current terms before purchase.
- Strap fit: Earthen lists a 20 mm lug width, but verify the strap’s attachment and compatibility with the particular watch before ordering a separate strap.
- Material claims: Earthen describes its ceramic as scratch-resistant. Treat that as the brand’s material claim, not a quantified or independently tested durability result.
Earthen’s FAQ and checkout are the relevant sources for its current warranty, tax, shipping and delivery terms; those details may vary or change, especially by destination. There is no independent durability test or market-wide statistic established for the Summit in the cited material, so product specifications and brand claims should not be mistaken for comparative test evidence.
