It is a brand-curated group, not a definitive ranking of every Reverso from the decade. The watches span men’s and women’s designs, different metals and dial treatments, and early movement configurations. Jaeger-LeCoultre says each was authenticated and restored by its restoration workshop. The capsule announcement describes the individual pieces and the launch plan.
What are the eight curated Reverso watches?
The capsule’s descriptions distinguish the watches by design and construction; Jaeger-LeCoultre does not provide a separate retail model name or reference number for every piece. The details below follow the brand’s descriptions.

The capsule presents the final two as distinct strap variations, but does not establish further distinguishing specifications for them. Nor do the reviewed capsule materials state exact dimensions, production totals, or prices.
Why was the Reverso designed to turn?
Jaeger-LeCoultre traces the idea to 1930, when British military polo players in India challenged Swiss businessman César de Trey to find a way to protect a watch face during play. The company says French industrial designer René-Alfred Chauvot designed the case and swivelling mechanism. Chauvot filed a patent on March 4, 1931; de Trey and Jacques-David LeCoultre acquired the design rights later that year and registered the Reverso name in November. First deliveries followed in winter 1931. Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Reverso history recounts the origin and early timeline.

The rectangular case turns to put the dial inward and shield it during sport. Its functional mechanism and geometric form also belong to the Art Deco design language of the period. The sporting purpose did not limit the watch to polo: the early collection included versions for women, such as the Dame models in this capsule.
How did the early Reverso movements develop?
Early Reversos initially used movements sourced from Tavannes: Calibres 063 and 064 in men’s watches, and 050 and 051 in ladies’ models, according to the brand. Jaeger-LeCoultre was developing a rectangular movement of its own.

Calibre 410 and the 1936 two-tone watch
The brand identifies Calibre 410, which debuted in 1933, as its first in-house movement developed specifically for the Reverso. It brought a small-seconds display at six o’clock. That movement appears in the capsule’s 1936 steel-and-9K-yellow-gold example.
Calibre 413 and the 1937 dial signature
The 1937 Small Seconds watch uses Calibre 413 and has Jaeger-LeCoultre printed on its black dial. The brand connects that signature to the 1937 merger of the Le Coultre and Jaeger Maisons. In its 2026 capsule document, the manufacturer also says the Reverso has housed more than 50 different calibres; that is the company’s historical count, not an independently audited tally.

What should you check before buying a vintage Reverso?
For these watches, the capsule’s visible differences are a starting point for identification, not proof that an individual example is original or in the condition claimed. Jaeger-LeCoultre says its Collectibles selection assesses originality, condition, mechanical integrity, documented history, rarity and historical significance. Its workshop describes servicing movements, rebuilding components by hand and sourcing historical parts while preserving original character and patina. These are the manufacturer’s program criteria and workshop claims, not an independent inspection report for every watch. The Collectibles program page explains the brand’s approach.
- Compare the details carefully. Check whether the dial, markers, metal combination, seconds display and strap or bracelet correspond to the particular version being represented. The capsule descriptions do not provide reference numbers for all eight.
- Ask for condition and service documentation. A clear account of repairs, replaced or rebuilt parts, and mechanical work helps distinguish a preserved original from a watch whose appearance or components have changed.
- Establish provenance. Request records that support the watch’s documented history and any retailer signature or unusual configuration.
- Separate authentication from restoration. A restoration can improve function, but the work and any replaced components should be documented so you can assess originality and patina against your priorities.
Are these eight watches currently available?
The February 2026 launch announcement said the capsule would be available worldwide from February 5, 2026, and at Jaeger-LeCoultre’s New York flagship during an exhibition running February 5–23. That is the announced launch plan; it does not confirm current stock or the price of any individual watch. Check the brand’s current The Collectibles offering for live availability.
