Reference 104268 is officially named the Octo Finissimo Automatic. Monochrome Watches described it as a permanent-collection model in its first look published on 15 September 2025. Its defining change is visual: the multi-faceted case is sandblasted titanium coated in black DLC, matched with a black dial, hands and indexes. The release is supplied on a black rubber strap, not an integrated titanium bracelet.
Bulgari specifies a transparent sapphire caseback and a black DLC-coated titanium pin buckle. Monochrome notes that glossy dial elements create some contrast against the otherwise matte dial; that is a visual impression, not a measured legibility test. The rubber strap’s texture may evoke fabric, but the material is rubber.

What movement is in the Bulgari Octo Finissimo Automatic Black DLC Titanium?
The watch uses Bulgari’s automatic manufacture calibre BVL 138, which is 2.23 mm thick and incorporates a platinum microrotor. A microrotor is a compact winding weight integrated into the movement rather than a full-size rotor sitting above it, an arrangement that helps keep the movement thin. Bulgari specifies a 60-hour power reserve and a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, or 3 Hz. These are manufacturer specifications, not results from an independent timing or power-reserve test.
Bulgari lists Côtes de Genève, chamfering and perlage among the movement’s hand-finished details.

How does reference 104268 compare with the Octo Finissimo Automatic S?
Monochrome’s September 2025 comparison cites steel or gold Octo Finissimo Automatic S editions. The difference is not simply color: those versions are described with bracelet configurations, different case materials and finishes, a thicker profile, and a higher stated water-resistance rating. No like-for-like current price for an S edition is established here.
