Piaget’s Polo Skeleton Ceramic pairs a black ceramic exterior with a black DLC-coated titanium case container and the ultra-thin automatic caliber 1200S1. Its 42 mm case measures 7.5 mm thick—1 mm thicker than the steel Polo Skeleton versions reported at launch—while the movement itself is 2.4 mm thick. Reference G0A49011 launched in August 2024; its reported CHF 40,100 price is historical, not a current quote.
What makes the Polo Skeleton Ceramic different?
Piaget introduced the model in 2024, its 150th-anniversary year, as its first ceramic watchmaking expression. The Maison’s official product page describes the watch as combining ceramic and titanium with caliber 1200S1. Piaget’s product page puts the material choice in the context of its anniversary; the practical result is a ceramic-clad version of the contemporary Polo Skeleton, rather than a wholly ceramic case.
The Polo is Piaget’s modern sports-watch collection, launched in 2016, and the first Polo Skeleton followed in 2021, according to Monochrome Watches’ August 2024 first look. The ceramic edition keeps the 42 mm cushion-shaped case and raised bezel, but uses a different case construction to accommodate the material while retaining robustness and water resistance.
Ceramic outside, titanium at the center
Monochrome reports ceramic for the bezel, crown and two lateral case modules. A central black DLC-coated titanium container sits between those outer elements. The arrangement gives the watch its black ceramic surfaces without making the entire case ceramic.

The case is 7.5 mm thick, compared with 6.5 mm for the steel Polo Skeleton versions cited by Monochrome. That is a 1 mm increase, so the ceramic model does not retain the steel edition’s reported case thickness. The sources do not give a measured weight or establish how the difference feels on the wrist.
How thin is the 1200S1 movement?
The watch uses Piaget caliber 1200S1, an automatic, openworked movement with a micro-rotor. Piaget describes it as a 2.4 mm skeletonized version of caliber 1200P. Monochrome reports the following specifications for the 1200S1:
Rank #2
- Ana-digital white silicone band with black frame caseback

Those are movement specifications, not a claim that the complete watch is 2.4 mm thick: the case measures 7.5 mm. Sapphire on both sides reveals the openworked movement. The hands and indexes use blue Super-LumiNova, and Monochrome notes a luminous Piaget logo on the micro-rotor.
What straps come with it?
Piaget’s SingleTouch interchangeable strap system is used on the model. The official product page says it is worn with a black rubber strap and supplied with an additional blue rubber strap. The available information does not establish whether generic or third-party rubber straps fit reference G0A49011, so buyers should confirm compatibility before ordering a replacement.
