Hamilton expanded its Khaki Pilot Pioneer collection on September 8, 2025, with three variants: a hand-wound 43mm model in bronze and two 38mm automatics, one burgundy and one moss green. Their clearest distinctions are size, movement, color and strap construction; Hamilton’s announcement does not provide reference numbers, prices or market availability.
What changed in the three new models?
The 2025 additions split into one larger bronze-cased watch and two smaller automatic versions. Hamilton describes the 43mm model with an eggshell-white grained dial, while the 38mm watches pair colored dials with matching turning bezels.
| Variant | Case and movement | Dial and bezel | Strap |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mechanical 43mm | 43mm; mechanical hand-winding. Hamilton’s collection background identifies ETA 6498-1 power for the 43mm hand-wound model, but the 2025 announcement does not give a caliber number for this new variant. | Bronze case; eggshell-white grained dial. The announcement does not specify a colored bezel treatment. | Vegetable-tanned leather; Hamilton says it develops patina over time. |
| Automatic 38mm, burgundy | 38mm; automatic. Hamilton’s collection background identifies its H-10 automatic for the 38mm model, but the 2025 announcement does not give a caliber number for this new variant. | Burgundy dial and colored turning bezel. | Leather made using the coupé franc technique. |
| Automatic 38mm, moss green | 38mm; automatic. Hamilton’s collection background identifies its H-10 automatic for the 38mm model, but the 2025 announcement does not give a caliber number for this new variant. | Moss-green dial and colored turning bezel. | Leather made using the coupé franc technique. |
Hamilton’s September 8, 2025 announcement establishes these design and movement categories, but does not provide full specifications for the three additions. Water resistance, power reserve, lug width and exact reference numbers are not stated there.
How the designs differ on the wrist
Bronze and eggshell white
The Mechanical 43mm has the most visibly vintage-leaning combination: a warm bronze case against an eggshell-white grained dial. Its vegetable-tanned leather strap is intended to change character with wear as patina develops, according to Hamilton. The larger case and hand-winding movement also make it the collection’s distinct mechanical option among these three launches.

Burgundy and moss green
The two 38mm automatics share their case size and movement category, but use different color treatments: burgundy or moss green, each paired with a colored turning bezel. Their leather straps are made with the traditional coupé franc technique, as described in Hamilton’s launch announcement. The release does not spell out further technical differences between the two colorways.
What connects the collection to the Model 23?
Hamilton presents the Khaki Pilot Pioneer as drawing on its World War II Model 23 pocket watch, which the brand says was used by U.S. Army Air Force navigators. Hamilton’s collection history states that more than 27,000 Model 23 watches were supplied to those navigators during the war; that figure is Hamilton’s historical account, not an independently verified count in the cited material.

The resemblance is about design cues and aviation-timing heritage, not identical function. Hamilton’s collection background page says the Model 23 was a chronograph, while the Khaki Aviation Pilot Pioneer is not. It describes the wristwatch’s bi-directional rotating bezel and prominent winding crown as recalling the technical feel of vintage aviation watches. The 2025 release likewise frames the additions as a tribute to Hamilton’s aviation and military-timing history.

The announcement identifies the three watches by size, movement type and color, but does not list exact reference numbers, launch prices, current prices or availability by country. Hamilton’s regional collection page includes background on earlier models; that information should not be treated as current pricing or availability for the 2025 variants. Buyers should check Hamilton’s current regional listings or an authorized retailer for the reference and market-specific details before making a purchase decision.
