What is the blue steel Zenith Chronomaster Sport?
This is the 2023 blue-dial Chronomaster Sport, reference 03.3114.3600/51.M3100. Its 41 mm case and bracelet are stainless steel, and the tachymeter bezel is polished steel rather than the black ceramic used on the original black- and white-dial Chronomaster Sport models. Zenith describes the blue sunray dial and its three differently colored counters in its official product listing.
The first-look description by Brice Goulard at Monochrome Watches, published October 10, 2023, identifies the counters as grey, anthracite and blue, with a tone-on-tone date disc. The date window sits at 4:30. Together, the blue dial and steel bezel give the watch a different visual balance from the ceramic-bezel versions, without changing the recognizable tricolour-counter layout.
What changed from the earlier Chronomaster Sport?
When the Chronomaster Sport launched in 2021, its black- and white-dial models paired tricolour sub-counters with a black ceramic bezel. In 2023, Zenith added this permanent-collection blue-dial version with a polished steel bezel; Monochrome’s account also discusses a pink-dial model introduced alongside it. The steel bezel reads as a more traditional treatment than the earlier ceramic one—an aesthetic judgment from that first look, not a durability or performance comparison.

The dial draws on two strands of Zenith design history: the tricolour counters recall the A386 El Primero, while Monochrome connects the blue dial to the DeLuca and Rainbow references. Zenith also cites DeLuca and Rainbow inspiration on the product page. The result preserves a familiar chronograph arrangement but changes the contrast and overall character through the blue sunray surface and matching metal bezel.
How does the El Primero 3600 chronograph work?
The automatic El Primero 3600 runs at 5 Hz, or 36,000 vibrations per hour. Zenith specifies approximately 60 hours of power reserve. Its central chronograph hand makes one complete dial rotation every 10 seconds, allowing the scale to indicate tenths of a second. This is the resolution of the chronograph display; it should not be read as a claim that the watch has been independently tested for real-world timing accuracy.

The sub-dials separate the other readings: the 60-minute chronograph counter is at 6 o’clock, the 60-second chronograph counter at 3, and running small seconds at 9. The watch also has a stop-seconds mechanism, according to Zenith’s 2023 product sheet. These are manufacturer specifications, not results from an independent timing test.
Case dimensions, construction and water resistance
Zenith’s launch sheet confirms a 41 mm case, sapphire crystal and 10 ATM water-resistance rating. The brand’s rating corresponds to 100 metres, but a depth rating alone does not establish suitability for every water activity; follow Zenith’s care guidance for the intended use.

Monochrome reports a thickness of 13.6 mm and a 47 mm lug-to-lug measurement. Those two dimensions are from its 2023 article, rather than the Zenith launch sheet. The same first look describes alternating brushed and polished case surfaces, pump-style pushers and sapphire crystals on both sides. The steel bezel is polished; Monochrome notes that this finish can show scratches, but provides no quantified scratch-resistance finding.
Launch price and current availability
Zenith’s October 2023 press sheet lists a launch price of CHF 10,400. Monochrome reported launch prices of CHF 10,400 and EUR 11,300. Those are historical launch figures, not a current universal price.

Zenith’s regional product pages showed different storefront information when accessed in 2026: the UK page displayed £10,100 and “Out of stock,” while the French page displayed €11,700 and “Rupture de stock.” Prices and stock can vary by market and change over time, so check the page for your region for the latest listing. A stock status on one country’s site does not establish availability elsewhere.

The reference is useful when identifying the specific configuration: blue metallic sunray dial, three differently colored counters, polished steel bezel and steel bracelet. Use 03.3114.3600/51.M3100 when checking listings, since the Chronomaster Sport family also includes versions with other dial colors and bezel materials. The design change is principally visual; the published specifications establish the movement and display, but do not support a claim that this model performs better than the ceramic-bezel versions.
