The Zenith Defy Skyline Tourbillon in rose gold pairs a 41 mm angular case with a brick-red dial inspired by the red-and-white brickwork of Zenith’s historic manufacture in Le Locle. Reference 18.9301.3630/67.I001 is the first Defy Skyline Tourbillon execution crafted entirely in rose gold, according to Zenith’s October 22, 2025 launch announcement. Its automatic El Primero 3630 beats at 5 Hz, while Zenith’s launch release and current product listing disagree on its power reserve.
What is new about this Defy Skyline Tourbillon?
The Defy Skyline, introduced in 2022 as a modern descendant of the 1969 Defy, brings its angular integrated design into rose gold for this tourbillon version. Zenith says this is the first Defy Skyline Tourbillon execution made entirely in rose gold. The deep brick-red dial is the other defining change: Zenith connects its color to the historic manufacture in Le Locle, whose facade features red-and-white brickwork.
The launch release puts that connection plainly: “Its deep brick-red dial pays direct tribute to the historic ZENITH Manufacture in Le Locle, echoing the distinctive red-and-white brickwork and forging a tangible link between the brand’s heritage and its most cutting-edge creation.” That is Zenith’s description of its design intent, rather than an independent interpretation.
Case and dial details
The 41 mm case uses the Skyline’s angular geometry and a faceted 12-sided bezel. Satin-brushed and polished surfaces alternate across the rose-gold construction, emphasizing the shifts between planes. Sapphire crystals cover the front and back. Zenith lists water resistance as 10 ATM; an independent first look gives the equivalent rating as 100 m.
On the dial, engraved four-pointed stars radiate outward from the tourbillon aperture at six o’clock. Rose-gold hands are treated with Super-LumiNova, according to Zenith. The aperture makes the rotating mechanism the visual focal point, while the star pattern draws attention toward it without abandoning the collection’s geometric theme.
El Primero 3630: high frequency and a reserve discrepancy
Zenith identifies the movement as its automatic, in-house El Primero 3630. It runs at 5 Hz, or 36,000 vibrations per hour. Zenith’s launch release describes the tourbillon carriage as weighing 0.25 g; Monochrome reports that the cage completes one rotation every 60 seconds.
The published power-reserve figures conflict. Zenith’s October 22, 2025 launch release states 50 hours, and Monochrome’s October 22 first look also reports 50 hours. Zenith’s current product page for this reference lists 60 hours. None of those sources explains the difference or says that one figure supersedes the other, so buyers should confirm the specification with Zenith or a retailer rather than assume a single verified reserve.
Bracelet, strap and changing between them
The watch is supplied with an integrated rose-gold H-link bracelet and an additional brick-red rubber strap. Zenith describes the quick-change system as tool-free, allowing the wearer to switch between the metal bracelet and rubber strap without a watchmaker’s tools. The matching strap extends the dial’s color into the overall look; the bracelet keeps the watch in an all-rose-gold configuration.
Launch price and availability
Monochrome reported the following launch list prices on October 22, 2025. These are dated regional figures, not a current quote:
| Region or currency | Reported launch price |
|---|---|
| Switzerland (CHF) | CHF 89,900 |
| Euro pricing (EUR) | EUR 97,400 |
| United States (USD) | USD 93,300 |
Zenith’s launch release says the watch is offered through Zenith boutiques worldwide and selected authorized retailers. Monochrome described it as not limited, but neither source establishes current stock at a particular location. Contact a local boutique or authorized retailer for present availability and pricing in your market.

This edition is most compelling for someone who wants the Defy Skyline’s architectural case and integrated-bracelet format in a precious metal, with a strongly colored dial and a visible tourbillon. The included rubber strap gives it a less formal alternative to the bracelet, while the 10 ATM water-resistance rating is a practical specification for a luxury sports-watch design. The launch materials establish the watch’s movement and construction, but do not support a claim that the tourbillon alone makes it more accurate than other watches.
