What is the Fleux FLX003?
The FLX003 is a watch from Toronto-based microbrand Fleux. The brand says its vintage-inspired design takes cues from the Omega Seamaster 300 “Big Triangle,” notably the prominent triangle marker at 12 o’clock and broad-arrow hands. Fleux pairs that styling with a bidirectional countdown bezel. This is the brand’s account of the design inspiration; the available information does not independently establish a military procurement history for the watch.

These are manufacturer specifications, not a report of independent laboratory testing. The 200 m rating should not be read as proof that a particular watch has been independently tested for diving use.
How the dimensions and bezel affect the choice
The 38 mm diameter and 47 mm lug-to-lug length give the FLX003 a compact footprint on paper. The stated thickness is 14 mm when measured to the top of the domed crystal, so the watch’s height is worth considering if you prefer a low-profile fit or regularly wear fitted cuffs. Fleux also gives a 12 mm measurement from the bottom of the lugs to the top of the bezel; that is a different measurement, not the overall thickness.

The bezel is bidirectional and friction-fit rather than a locking or unidirectional diving bezel. The Time Bum reviewer considered this arrangement less secure against accidental movement than a locking or unidirectional bezel. That is a reviewer’s assessment, not a laboratory finding; buyers who prioritize a bezel designed to resist inadvertent movement should factor it into their comparison.
Movement and everyday specifications
Fleux specifies an SII NH38A automatic movement with a 41-hour power reserve and a stated accuracy range of -20 to +40 seconds per day. Those figures describe the brand’s published specifications; actual timekeeping can vary between individual watches and with wear conditions.

The Hesalite crystal is double-domed, and the dial uses C3 “Old Radium” Super-LumiNova, according to the product listing. Case construction is specified as 316L stainless steel with brushed surfaces and polished chamfers.
Strap options
The supplied SEAQUAL strap is made from recycled ocean plastic, and Fleux specifies quick-release spring bars. With 20 mm lugs, the stated width to look for in another strap is 20 mm. The listed dimensions support that general fit guidance, but do not establish compatibility or testing for any particular third-party strap.

Price, availability and warranty
When the official product page was checked for this article, it showed a US$399 sale price against a US$499 regular price and an “only 36 left in stock” message. These are a dated snapshot, not a guarantee of current price or availability; check Fleux’s listing before ordering.
Fleux states that the watch has a one-year limited warranty covering manufacturing defects and workmanship. The brand says watches ship from Toronto via FedEx and that local governments may charge duties and taxes on arrival. Warranty terms, shipping arrangements and import charges can change, and duties or taxes depend on the destination.
