It therefore does not establish which Telegraph publication was meant or what additional details the article contained.
What the earlier report said about the watch
In a report dated 25 October 2024, Charter’97 said Lukashenka was seen wearing a Patek Philippe Calatrava at the BRICS summit in Kazan. Charter’97 attributed the identification to a Telegram post by political scientist Dzmitry Balkunets. That attribution describes the report’s sourcing; it is not independent authentication of the watch.
Charter’97 also reported that the watch cost more than $20,000. The report did not give an exact reference number or explain how it arrived at that valuation. The figure should be understood only as Charter’97’s reported claim, not as a verified or current price.
