The roundup behind this headline was published on March 14, 2025. As of the latest supplied retailer signals checked August 16, 2026, the Galaxy S25 Ultra was listed by Samsung at its $1,299.99 starting price, Apple was highlighting the newer Watch Series 11 and AirPods Pro 3, and Series 10 and AirPods Pro 2 made sense only as substantially discounted clearance products.
The deal status at a glance
| Product | Latest supplied price signal | What the older roundup advertised | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|
| Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, 256GB unlocked | $1,299.99 from Samsung | $999.99, or $300 off | Buy only with a large no-trade-in discount |
| Apple Watch Series 10 | Legacy Apple page showed a $399 starting price; current store foregrounded Series 11 from $399 | $100 off; one 42mm GPS price was reported as $299 | Buy only when clearly cheaper than Series 11 |
| AirPods Pro 2 | No current official Apple price established in the supplied results; Apple highlights AirPods Pro 3 | $80 off, described as 32% off | Buy only as new USB-C clearance stock |
These current signals come from Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra buying page, Samsung’s offers page, and Apple’s current Watch store. Prices and stock can change, so treat the table as a dated reference rather than a live price guarantee.

Galaxy S25 Ultra: a good phone only at the right price
The original deal was compelling on paper: Samsung’s 256GB unlocked Galaxy S25 Ultra was advertised at $999.99 instead of $1,299.99. The supplied Samsung price signal from August 16, 2026 showed $1,299.99 for 256GB, $1,419.99 for 512GB and $1,659.99 for 1TB. The advertised $300 saving therefore cannot be treated as current.
The S25 Ultra remains aimed at buyers who want a very large display, an integrated S Pen, advanced cameras and a premium unlocked Android phone. It is not automatically the best value simply because its historical discount was the largest. Samsung’s current pages also surface the newer Galaxy S25 Edge, so compare the S25 Ultra’s checkout price with Samsung’s current flagship alternatives before buying.
#1 Best Overall
- Stunning 6.9″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X QHD+ display with adaptive 1–120 Hz refresh rate, ultra‑bright up to ~2600 nits, HDR support, “Vision Booster,” and adaptive color tone — giving vivid colours, great outdoor visibility, and super‑smooth scrolling.
- Powerful internals: it runs on the new Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy (3 nm) chip, with 12 GB (or in some markets up to 16 GB) RAM and up to 1 TB UFS 4.0 storage — offering significantly improved CPU/GPU/NPU performance, especially for AI tasks, gaming, and heavy multitasking.
- Advanced quad‑camera system: 200 MP wide main sensor, plus a 50 MP ultrawide, a 50 MP periscope telephoto (5× optical zoom), and a 10 MP telephoto (3× optical zoom) — giving flexibility from ultra‑wide through detailed telephoto shots, and strong performance in varied lighting.
- 5,000 mAh battery with 45 W fast wired charging, wireless charging (Qi2) and reverse wireless charging — balancing long battery life with flexible charging options.
- Durable, premium build: Titanium‑frame body, protected by Corning Gorilla Armor 2 glass, with IP68 dust/water resistance, ultrasonic in‑display fingerprint sensor, modern connectivity (5G, Wi‑Fi 7, Bluetooth, UWB, USB‑C), and long‑term software support (Android 15 / One UI 7, promised 7 major OS/security updates).
Buy if
- The exact U.S. unlocked model is at least $250–$300 below comparable current flagship pricing.
- The saving is an instant price reduction, not mainly trade-in credit, Samsung Shop credit or accessories.
- You specifically want the S Pen, large screen and camera hardware.
Skip or wait if
- The price is close to a newer Galaxy model.
- The headline price requires a trade-in, activation or installment commitment.
- You prefer a compact or lighter phone.
Check storage, model number, unlocked status, U.S. warranty, shipping and return terms. Samsung trade-in and financing conditions must be confirmed at checkout; financing lowers the monthly payment but is not an outright discount.
Apple Watch Series 10: clearance can work, but Series 11 changes the calculation
Apple’s older Series 10 buying page still showed models starting at $399, while Apple’s current Watch store listed the Series 11 from $399, the SE 3 from $249 and the Ultra 3 from $799. That makes the historical $100-off Series 10 deal potentially attractive only if a retailer’s actual price is substantially below Series 11.
Series 10 is worth considering for an iPhone user who wants ECG, sleep-apnea notifications, an always-on display and the Series 10 design at a clearance price. Apple’s Series 10 page specifies an iPhone XS or later running iOS 18 or later. Apple Watch is not compatible with Android phones.

GPS or GPS + Cellular?
GPS is generally the better deal for people who carry an iPhone. Cellular costs more up front and can add a recurring carrier charge. Choose cellular only if you regularly leave your iPhone behind and have confirmed the watch works with your carrier.
Inspect the exact case size, material, color and included band. Legacy stock may be limited to unpopular configurations, and a refurbished listing should state its warranty and return policy clearly.
Buy threshold: choose Series 10 when it is at least $100 below a comparable Series 11. If both cost about the same, buy the newer model instead.

AirPods Pro 2: USB-C and warranty matter more than the percentage discount
The original article reported an $80 reduction on AirPods Pro 2 and called it 32% off. That was a retailer-specific March 2025 promotion. Apple’s current store now highlights newer AirPods products, including AirPods Pro 3, so AirPods Pro 2 should be treated as a value or clearance option rather than Apple’s current premium choice.

Buy only when the listing is for the USB-C charging-case version, is new and sealed, and includes a verifiable Apple warranty. Older Lightning-case stock is less attractive unless it is substantially cheaper. Earbuds also carry more battery-age risk than phones or watches, particularly when old inventory or unclear “renewed” marketplace listings are involved.
AirPods pair with Android over Bluetooth, but Apple-specific features and controls are reduced. For Android users, compare the total feature set with alternatives such as Beats Studio Buds+, which the original roundup identified as having broader Android compatibility. Basic pairing should not be confused with full ecosystem support.

Buy threshold: AirPods Pro 2 need to be meaningfully cheaper than AirPods Pro 3 and backed by a full warranty. Skip refurbished units with no battery-health information.

For tablets and two-in-one PCs, compare processor generation, storage and accessory costs before accepting a large markdown. A discounted keyboard-less tablet or older Windows device may cost more after required accessories and have a shorter support runway. For Samsung watch shoppers, compare an old Galaxy Watch 7 or Galaxy Watch Ultra promotion with the Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025).
Best alternatives by buyer
- iPhone user on a budget: Apple Watch SE 3, listed by Apple from $249, unless you need ECG or the more advanced health sensors.
- iPhone user wanting the newest mainstream watch: Series 11 from $399 is the key comparison for any Series 10 clearance deal.
- Outdoor or rugged-watch buyer: compare Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) with the Apple Watch Ultra 3, listed from $799.
- Android phone owner: skip Apple Watch and compare current Samsung wearables instead.
- Android earbud buyer: consider Beats Studio Buds+ or another model with clearly documented Android controls.
How to check whether a deal is real
- Confirm the exact storage, case size, connectivity, color and included accessories.
- Check whether the advertised price requires a trade-in, new line, carrier activation, membership or coupon.
- Separate an instant discount from store credit, financing or a future rebate.
- Verify that the item is new, refurbished, renewed or open-box.
- Check seller identity, manufacturer warranty and return window.
- Add tax, shipping, cellular service, bands, chargers and other required accessories.
- Confirm the product is a U.S. model with the needed carrier or phone compatibility.
- Record the retailer, configuration and price-check date. Remove the offer if checkout no longer matches the article.
Do not rely on an old search-result snippet or an obsolete MSRP. A percentage calculated against launch pricing can exaggerate the real saving, especially for an older generation.
The Visible promotion mentioned in the original roundup—$5 off per month for 12 months—ended June 1, 2026 and should not be treated as a current recommendation.
