When and where Geneva Watch Days 2024 took place
The fifth edition opened on August 29, 2024, and ran through September 2. The Rotonde du Mont-Blanc was the central meeting point, but the event was not confined to one exhibition hall: participating brands also hosted visitors at venues around Geneva. Fratello’s advance page, published August 26, described the dates and citywide format; the official post-inauguration release confirmed the event had opened.

How the event was organized
Geneva Watch Days combined a shared pavilion with individual brand locations. The format gave visitors a common public hub while allowing brands to present watches in their own spaces. The official event described the gathering as self-managed and decentralized, and reported 52 participating brands and 15 official partners after the event opened. Fratello’s pre-event estimate had been “over 30” brands; that was an advance figure, not the final count.

The official participant roster ranged from established names including Breitling, Bvlgari, Blancpain and Breguet to independent makers such as MB&F, Czapek, Ming and Ressence. The organizers’ stated aim included providing brands with an informal setting to launch products and meet media, retailers and the public.

What visitors could see and do
The central pavilion displayed more than 100 watches, according to the organizers. The official program also included eight free guided tours, watch reviews, a conference, a quiz and brunch, and an auction organized with Phillips in association with Bacs & Russo. Auction proceeds were intended to support students at the Geneva School of Watchmaking through the Pierre Amstutz Fund.
The Fondation Haute Horlogerie’s dated program for Geneva Watch Days also listed craftsmanship demonstrations, tours, watch reviews, a conference and the returning quiz brunch. FHH separately reported that its “Watches and Talents” exhibition had welcomed over 7,500 locals and tourists since opening in early June. That figure concerns the separate exhibition, not attendance at Geneva Watch Days.

What Fratello’s “latest” coverage means
Fratello framed its event page as a place for coverage of new releases, first impressions and hands-on views. It is a useful entry point for following the publication’s reporting from the 2024 event, rather than a complete model catalog or current buying guide.
