The Gerald Charles GC Sport Titanium, reference GC2.0-TX-TN-01, takes the brand’s Genta-designed Maestro shape and adapts it for sport with a polished Grade 5 titanium case, a left-side screw-down crown and a lightweight rubber strap. The Royal Blue model launched in January 2022 at a reported retail price of €16,000; Gerald Charles’ current Australian listing shows A$35,700 including VAT, a market-specific figure rather than a directly comparable update to the launch price.
What is the GC Sport Titanium?
The GC Sport Titanium is a sports-oriented version of the Gerald Charles Maestro 2.0. Its reference, GC2.0-TX-TN-01, identifies the Royal Blue dial model on a matching blue vulcanised-rubber strap. Monochrome Watches published its hands-on article on 19 January 2022, describing the watch as more robust and comfortable than the Maestro 2.0 while retaining the family’s general look and proportions. The design’s sports credentials are not limited to its name: the case is titanium, the crown screws down, and water resistance is rated to 100 metres. The brand says three ATP Tour players worked with it during development, but its launch release does not name them. That is brand-reported development context, not evidence of independent performance testing. Gerald Charles’ launch release
Case and wearing proportions
The January 2022 hands-on review gives the case dimensions as 39 mm wide, 41 mm high and 8 mm thick, and reports a total weight of 50 grams including the strap. Those figures describe a notably compact, thin sports-watch profile on paper. The review also notes polished Grade 5 titanium, sapphire crystals on the front and back, and a screw-down crown positioned on the left side of the case. Monochrome Watches’ 2022 hands-on review

The current official product listing gives slightly different, more precise dimensions: 39.00 by 41.70 mm and 8.7 mm thick. These are listing specifications, not a reason to silently substitute one set for the other. The same listing identifies the reference as GC2.0-TX-TN-01. Gerald Charles’ current product listing
Gerald Charles says Grade 5 titanium is 40% lighter than steel. The brand also reports a complete watch weight of 50 grams and 100-metre water resistance. These figures come from the manufacturer’s release; the weight is also reported by Monochrome’s 2022 hands-on article. Gerald Charles’ launch release
Why put the crown on the left?
Gerald Charles says it moved the screw-down crown to the left side to reduce rubbing during play. The placement is a practical design choice for a watch intended to be worn actively, while also distinguishing the case from the more conventional crown-at-three layout. The release does not provide comparative comfort testing, so the stated benefit should be understood as the brand’s design rationale. Gerald Charles’ launch release
Dial, strap and movement
The Royal Blue dial is sunray-brushed and made with multiple layers of lacquer; Monochrome describes its appearance as shifting with ambient light. Applied Arabic numerals mark 3, 9 and 12, with a date display at 6. The matching Royal Blue vulcanised-rubber strap has Clous de Paris decoration and closes with a titanium pin buckle. Inside is automatic calibre GCA 3002, identified by Monochrome as made by Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier. The review lists 189 components, 28 jewels, a 50-hour power reserve and a 3.7 mm movement thickness, with hours, minutes, seconds and date functions. Gerald Charles says it adapted the movement for the left-side crown arrangement and increased shock resistance by up to 40%. The shock-resistance figure is a manufacturer claim; the launch release does not supply an independent test protocol. Monochrome Watches’ 2022 hands-on review Gerald Charles’ launch release

At launch, Monochrome reported a retail price of €16,000 and said preorders were available in January 2022, with deliveries expected in March 2022. That is historical launch pricing, not a statement of today’s European price or current stock. Monochrome Watches’ 2022 hands-on review
As of 8 October 2026, Gerald Charles’ official Australian product listing for the same reference displays A$35,700 including VAT. It also offers an authorized-retailer locator, but the listing alone does not establish availability at a particular dealer. The Australian price and the 2022 euro launch price differ by market, date, currency and tax treatment, so they should not be read as a like-for-like price change. What the specifications say about its sporting focus
The GC Sport Titanium’s case material, screw-down crown and 100-metre water resistance make its sporting intent more concrete than a styling-only change. Its 50-gram reported total weight and slim profile also set it apart from the heavy, bulky image often associated with sports watches. The strongest performance figure, the claimed increase of up to 40% in shock resistance, comes from Gerald Charles; without an independent protocol or comparative test, it cannot establish how the watch performs against other sports watches.

The trade-off is that the core engineering case for sport is presented through manufacturer specifications and claims rather than published independent testing. This is best understood as a slim, sports-oriented luxury watch, not a substitute for evidence about performance under a specific activity or impact condition.
