The newest clearly documented Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date editions are the purple-dial “Plasma” and lime-green “Fusion,” announced for availability on 14 August 2025. Each was limited to 100 pieces per colour. Glashütte Original still lists the Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date in its Vintage Collection, but its accessible collection page does not identify these editions or show a current price.
What is new about the Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date?
Glashütte Original’s two documented recent editions give the established Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date a vivid dial treatment: purple for Plasma and lime green for Fusion. Monochrome reported their availability from 14 August 2025 and a limit of 100 pieces per colour. “New” here refers to those 2025 editions; it does not establish a 2026 release. The brand’s Vintage Collection page currently lists the model as an automatic stainless-steel watch, with dimensions of 40.00 × 40.00 mm, and shows two variations in the grouping. The listed dimensions should not be read as case thickness or lug-to-lug length. The accessible page does not name the Plasma and Fusion editions.

The two colour editions share the same core reported case and movement specifications. The differences documented for buyers are dial colour and the supplied rubber-strap or steel-bracelet configuration:

What the 2025 editions offer
Monochrome’s 2025 report gives these specifications for the Plasma and Fusion editions. They should not automatically be applied to every historical version of the model.

The display combines the Panorama Date with chronograph indications for 30 minutes and 12 hours, running seconds and a power-reserve display. The 2025 report describes the Panorama Date as using two concentric discs on the same axis and level. The flyback function lets the wearer reset and restart the chronograph in one operation rather than stopping, resetting and starting it separately.

There is no verified current price in the available manufacturer collection listing, and launch prices reported by two outlets conflict. Monochrome gave launch prices of €15,800 on rubber and €17,000 on the steel bracelet. Time and Watches’ August 2025 search-result excerpt gave €16,000 and €17,200, respectively. The discrepancy is unresolved, and the Time and Watches page could not be opened for verification; neither set of figures should be treated as a current quote.

The Plasma and Fusion editions retain the same reported mechanical specification, so the choice between them is primarily visual and practical:
- Choose Plasma if you prefer the purple dial.
- Choose Fusion if you want the lime-green dial.
- Choose the rubber version if that is your preferred supplied configuration; the report does not establish compatibility for third-party replacement straps.
- Choose the steel-bracelet version if you want the bracelet configuration identified in the report.
Glashütte Original presents the Vintage Collection as inspired by earlier decades, describing its watches as “design classics” for which “The 1960s and 1970s are the inspiration.” That is the brand’s collection-page copy, not a named-person quotation.
