The Brellum Duobox 39 Ice Blue Mother of Pearl LE Chronometer (ref. DB.CH.946) pairs a 39.5 mm steel case with a COSC-certified automatic chronograph and a natural mother-of-pearl dial. Its dimensions are compact across the wrist but substantial in height: 48 mm lug-to-lug and 15.3 mm thick including the domed sapphire crystals. Brellum lists the numbered edition at 46 pieces worldwide and prices it at CHF 3,190; check the official product listing for current availability and terms.
What is the Brellum Duobox 39 Ice Blue Mother of Pearl?
It is a limited-edition automatic chronograph in Brellum’s Duobox line, identified by reference DB.CH.946. The stainless-steel case frames a multi-level ice-blue mother-of-pearl dial, with diamond-cut luminous indices and hands. Brellum says the edition is limited to 46 watches worldwide.
The design combines a dressier dial material with a chronograph layout and 100-meter water resistance. That makes it more versatile on paper than a delicate, strictly formal watch, though its height and polished dial treatment are important considerations for everyday wear.
How does the mother-of-pearl dial look in person?
Mother-of-pearl changes with the angle and light, so the dial’s effect is not necessarily a constant flash of color. In his February 16, 2026 hands-on report, Fratello’s Michael Stockton observed that the surface could show translucence and pearlescence at some angles, while appearing nearly solid and porcelain-like at others. That is one reviewer’s experience rather than a guarantee of how every example will look in every setting.

- 25mm two-tone case
- 7.5 inch two-tone expansion band

- Mineral Glass lens
- Water resistant up to 30 meters
The layered dial, ice-blue tone and cut of the indices give the watch visual detail without relying on a uniformly glossy appearance. Monochrome’s February 13, 2026 first look characterized the styling as cool and contemporary; that is an editorial impression, not a technical specification.
How thick is the Brellum Duobox 39?
Brellum lists the case at 39.50 mm in diameter and 48 mm lug-to-lug. Overall thickness is 15.30 mm with the domed front and rear sapphire crystals, or 11.05 mm without the crystals. The smaller crystal-excluded figure does not describe the watch’s full profile when worn; the total height is the more useful number when considering sleeve clearance.
Stockton noted that the thickness seemed less conspicuous on the wrist than the number suggested, in part because more than a quarter of the profile comes from the crystals. He also pointed to the downward-curving lugs and female end links as contributing to the fit. Wrist shape and preferred fit vary, so the 48 mm lug-to-lug measurement is worth considering alongside the diameter.

What movement is in the Brellum Duobox 39 Ice Blue?
Brellum identifies the automatic chronograph as its BR-110, with COSC certification and a certificate included. The brand lists 26 jewels, a frequency of 28,800 A/h and a stated power reserve of 60 hours. It also specifies a column wheel, stop seconds and a date function.
The chronograph provides a 30-minute counter and a 12-hour counter, alongside running seconds. The dial also carries a pulsometer scale. Brellum describes the movement’s base as La Joux-Perret but does not name a calibre in the official listing. Monochrome identifies the base as L110, while Fratello calls it L100, so the base calibre designation is not consistent across these reports.
Case, crystal and water resistance
The case is 316L stainless steel, with domed box sapphire crystals front and back. Brellum lists anti-reflective coatings as ARdur® and ARunic® and gives the watch a water-resistance rating of 100 meters. The rating is a stated specification; it is not a substitute for checking that the crown and pushers are correctly secured or for following the manufacturer’s care guidance.

- Mother of pearl dial with gold-tone full Arabic numerals
- Gold-tone 25mm brass case with mineral glass crystal
- Indiglo light-up watch dial
- Water resistant to 30m (100ft): in general, withstands splashes or brief immersion in water, but not suitable for swimming or bathing
Bracelet, strap and price
Brellum lists both a stainless-steel bracelet and a white leather strap as included. Fratello describes the bracelet as a five-row design with a butterfly clasp and the strap as calfskin with a pin buckle. The two options give the watch a more formal leather configuration as well as a steel-bracelet look.
Brellum’s product listing displays CHF 3,190. Fratello and Monochrome reported CHF 3,190 including Swiss tax, or CHF 2,950 for export, in their February 2026 coverage. Those reported amounts do not establish what a buyer will pay after delivery charges, duties or taxes in another market. Prices, stock and delivery terms can change, so confirm them with Brellum before ordering.
Quick Recap
Who should consider this limited edition?
- Consider it if you want a certified automatic chronograph with a distinctive natural dial, and value the inclusion of both a bracelet and leather strap.
- Check the fit first if you are sensitive to case height: 15.3 mm is the full thickness, even though the diameter is 39.5 mm.
- Look elsewhere if you want a dial whose color and finish remain visually uniform in changing light, or if you prefer a thinner chronograph.
- Confirm before purchase the available stock, final regional price and applicable warranty. Fratello reported a two-year warranty, but Brellum’s product listing reviewed here did not state current warranty terms.
