The Lebois & Co Heritage Chronograph is a hand-wound, vintage-inspired mechanical chronograph, but its specifications depend on the reference. Fratello’s August 2023 hands-on review covered ref. 324.497 with the LC-430 movement; newer Linéaire models use the LC-450. The review praised the case finishing and build quality while finding the supplied strap bulky near the lugs. Those distinctions matter when weighing the watch against its price and deciding which version to buy.
What the Heritage Chronograph is
Lebois & Co presents the Heritage Chronograph as a modern interpretation of chronographs from the 1930s and 1940s. Its newer Linéaire subfamily draws on a vintage watch that the brand says was found by Berlin vintage dealer Shuck the Oyster. The period “Lebois & Cie” signature and other mid-century details inform the contemporary design; this origin story is the brand’s account, not independent authentication of the archival watch. Lebois & Co’s Linéaire page describes the design as a contemporary interpretation of a 1950s reference.
The historical inspiration reportedly used radium lume. That is a detail about the vintage watch, not evidence that the modern Heritage models use radium.
Which reference are you considering?
Do not treat the Heritage Chronograph as one fixed specification sheet. The 2023 review sample and the newer Linéaire models differ in movement designation and dial design.

The 23-jewel figure for ref. 324.497 and the 24-jewel figure for ref. 324.406 are reference-specific published specifications, not interchangeable counts. Likewise, the LC-430 listed for the reviewed 324.497 should not be silently replaced with the LC-450 found on newer models.
How the 324.497 wears on paper
For the 324.497 review sample, Fratello lists a 39 mm stainless-steel case, 13.9 mm total height, 47.35 mm lug-to-lug, and 20 mm lug width. It has a domed sapphire crystal, screw-in display caseback, and 50 m water resistance. The dimensions offer a useful starting point for fit, though wrist shape and strap choice affect how a watch wears.

Lebois & Co’s newer Linéaire listing gives the same 39 mm diameter and 47.35 mm lug-to-lug, but separates case height from crystal height: 10.5 mm excluding the domed sapphire and 13.9 mm including it. It also specifies 5 ATM/50 m water resistance. That height convention explains why a case-only number can look substantially slimmer than the overall height.
A 50 m rating is not a claim that this is a dedicated dive watch. The cited references are hand-wound chronographs, and the available specifications do not establish a dive-watch design or use case.

What the hands-on review says about build and strap
Fratello reviewer Robert-Jan Broer judged the case finishing and overall build quality favorably, saying they compare well with offerings from larger brands in the price segment. His reservation was the strap: he found it too thick where it meets the case and lugs, making the watch feel less dressy. In his words, “It’s a bit too thick.” The comment refers to the supplied strap, not the case; Broer also acknowledged that this was partly a matter of personal preference and described the strap quality itself as good. The reviewed 324.497 has 20 mm lugs, which gives owners a standard dimension to use when exploring another strap. Before buying one, confirm fit for the exact reference, including lug clearance, thickness, taper, and buckle compatibility; width alone does not guarantee a good match.

Price and availability depend on the date and reference
Prices published for different references and at different times are not a like-for-like price history. Fratello reported a €2,550 retail price for the four 324.497 variants it reviewed in August 2023. The Lebois & Co collection page displayed €3,300 for the Numeral Chronograph 324.497 when accessed October 7, 2026; the page does not give a publication date. Other listings on the collection page show different reference-specific prices and some out-of-stock labels. Is the Heritage Chronograph worth considering?
The case for the watch is strongest if you want a hand-wound chronograph with period-inspired detailing, a column-wheel movement, and a design that is not simply a replica of a vintage model. The Fratello assessment supports the quality of the reviewed case and build, while the newer Linéaire references offer a distinct dial treatment and the LC-450 movement.
The main buying checks are practical: identify the exact reference and caliber, decide whether you prefer the cream multiscale 324.497 look or a newer Linéaire dial, and try the supplied strap if possible. Then verify the live price and stock for your market. The review is an attributed assessment of ref. 324.497, not a firsthand test of every current variant.
