The Nodus Sector Deep reviewed in 2023 paired a compact 38 mm case with a 500 m water-resistance rating, a dual-scale bezel and a Seiko NH35 automatic movement. Fratello reviewer Vincent Deschamps praised its legibility and bezel action, but noted two practical drawbacks: a hard-to-grip left-side crown and an awkwardly exposed clasp extension. Those observations apply to the configuration he reviewed—not automatically to every Sector Deep now on sale.
Which Sector Deep did the 2023 review cover?
Deschamps’s May 20, 2023 Fratello review covered a matte-black-dial Sector Deep with a bead-blasted stainless-steel case and bracelet. Its listed price was US$599 at the time of that review; treat that as historical, not as a current offer.
The watch combined applied indices with BGW9 Grade A Super-LumiNova, a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on its underside, a screw-down case back and Nodus’s NodeX toolless micro-adjust clasp. The 120-click unidirectional bezel carries both 60-minute and 12-hour scales, giving it a timing function beyond the conventional elapsed-minutes dive-watch scale.
What are the reviewed model’s specifications?

How did it wear and operate?
Legibility and bezel
Deschamps found the dial easy to read and the bezel easy to grip and turn. He described the bezel action as firm, with no back play. The dual scale is useful if you want to track elapsed minutes as well as a second 12-hour time interval; if you only need a conventional dive timer, the extra scale may be less important than the bezel’s feel and clarity.
Crown and clasp caveats
The crown is on the left side of the case, but the bezel edge overhangs it. Deschamps found it difficult to grip as a result. That is a concrete concern if you expect to wind or set the watch often; try the crown yourself if you can before buying.
He also objected to the bracelet clasp at its fully extended position, where a thin metal piece is exposed. This is a reviewer’s hands-on observation, not evidence that every wearer will find the clasp uncomfortable. If you use the micro-adjust frequently, inspect and operate it in the positions you would actually wear.
On finishing, Deschamps reported that the case and bracelet felt smooth and had no sharp edges. The compact 38 mm case and 47 mm lug-to-lug are useful fit figures, though wrist shape and the wider 42 mm bezel can affect how the watch feels and looks. The 20 mm lug width also gives a clear strap-sizing starting point; check end shape and model compatibility before ordering any replacement strap.

How does the current Sector Deep lineup differ?
Nodus’s Sector Deep collection page now lists several variants, including Pioneer, Damascus, Blue Orthodox, Black Destro, DLC Destro, Flare Destro, Polar Destro and Sky Destro. The collection listing shows prices from $650 to $800 and marks some options sold out; price and stock are changeable, so confirm the selected variant on Nodus’s live listing before purchase.
The current Black Destro product page lists a $650 price and a TMI NH35 with 41-hour reserve, alongside dimensions of 38 mm case width, 42 mm bezel width, 13.6 mm thickness, 47 mm lug-to-lug and 20 mm lug width. It also lists sapphire crystal and 500 m water resistance. These are current-page specifications for Black Destro, not proof that every Sector Deep shares them. The page displayed “Sold Out” when accessed on October 7, 2026; check the page directly for present availability.
Movement is one reason not to generalize across the line: Nodus’s official Damascus page specifies a Miyota 8315 with a stated power reserve of up to 60 hours, rather than the NH35 listed for the reviewed configuration and Black Destro. Nodus says of the Black Destro, “The Sector Deep is designed and assembled in Los Angeles.”
What should you check before buying?
- Exact variant and availability: confirm the full model name, current price and stock rather than relying on the 2023 review price or an old availability estimate.
- Fit: compare the 38 mm case, 42 mm bezel, 13.6 mm thickness and 47 mm lug-to-lug with a watch you already wear comfortably.
- Movement: verify the movement and reserve for the specific variant. The reviewed NH35 configuration and the Damascus Miyota 8315 are not interchangeable specifications.
- Bezel and crown: decide whether you will use the 12-hour scale, and check whether the left-side crown is easy for you to operate.
- Bracelet: try the NodeX adjustment and inspect the fully extended clasp position if possible.
- Water use: the published 500 m rating is a product specification, not a depth test reported by the reviewer. Follow the manufacturer’s guidance for your intended use and keep the crown and case back properly secured.
Is the Nodus Sector Deep worth considering?
The reviewed Sector Deep makes a case for itself through its compact dimensions, high published water-resistance rating, legible dial and two-scale bezel. Deschamps’s favorable account of the bezel and finishing is balanced by usability caveats that matter most to buyers who frequently operate the crown or rely on the bracelet’s full extension. For a current purchase, the key is to assess the precise variant: specifications, movement, price and availability can differ across the present collection.
