Hands-On: The Tusenö Windseeker Is a Serious Everyday All-Rounder

The Tusenö Windseeker combines compact listed dimensions, a distinctive two-finish dial and everyday-ready specifications, though its power-reserve figures and current value need careful checking.

The Tusenö Windseeker makes a credible case as a versatile everyday sports watch: its 39 mm case, 47 mm lug-to-lug span, automatic Sellita movement, sapphire crystal and 100 m water resistance cover useful daily-watch fundamentals, while a two-finish dial and bracelet give it some visual character. Its value is harder to judge without a current local price, and published power-reserve figures conflict. The all-rounder label is an editorial judgment, not a certification.

What makes the Windseeker an all-rounder?

The Windseeker is an automatic watch from Swedish brand Tusenö, positioned for everyday wear. Its appeal is the combination of moderate listed dimensions, a dressable but textured dial, a steel bracelet and practical water resistance—not a claim that it excels at every specialized activity. Monochrome’s Brice Goulard described it as a weekday-and-weekend sports watch after hands-on evaluation; that framing is useful, but “go anywhere, do anything” remains a subjective category description.

The design draws on sailing-yacht details without making the watch a dedicated marine instrument. Tusenö says the dial’s curved vertical lines take inspiration from teak decks. The dial pairs a sunburst-finished inner section with a grain-textured outer minute track, applied indices and BGW9 Super-LumiNova. The collection page lists five color variants. These finishes distinguish the watch from a plain three-hand sports design while leaving it relatively restrained.

How does it wear?

Tusenö lists the silver model at 39 mm in diameter, 47 mm lug-to-lug and 10.5 mm thick. Those figures describe a compact footprint on paper, though case shape and wrist anatomy matter as much as diameter. Goulard reported that the proportions worked well on his 16.5 cm wrist; that is one reviewer’s fit impression, not a guarantee for another wearer.

There is a version and measurement wrinkle: Fratello’s July 2024 Windseeker V2 review records a 39 mm by 47 mm by 11.5 mm case. The available sources do not establish whether the difference reflects a model update or measurement convention, so the current official product page is the best reference for the currently listed silver model.

Movement and performance: check the reserve discrepancy

The official silver product listing specifies a Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement and gives a stated rate tolerance of ±12 seconds per day, with a maximum of ±30 seconds per day. These are manufacturer specifications, not a reported timing test of the watch reviewed by Monochrome or Fratello.

Tusenö’s collection page describes the updated movement as beating at 28,800 beats per hour with a 41-hour power reserve. Fratello’s 2024 review of the Windseeker V2 lists 38 hours. Because the published figures differ and the sources do not resolve why, treat the reserve as uncertain until checking the current documentation for the exact model and version.

Materials and everyday practicality

  • Crystal: The official product listing specifies flat sapphire with an inner anti-reflective coating.
  • Water resistance: Tusenö lists 10 ATM / 100 m and a screw-in crown. That rating is useful for daily exposure to water, but the cited material does not establish a dive-watch certification.
  • Bracelet: The listed bracelet tapers from 20 mm to 18 mm and includes half-links and a butterfly clasp. Monochrome reports that the links use screws and that quick-release spring bars make strap changes easier.
  • Strap fit: The bracelet’s 20 mm end width is a useful reference when considering another strap, but confirm the fit and end-link arrangement for the specific strap you choose.

The bracelet’s half-links may help fine-tune fit, while the butterfly clasp is a design choice rather than a universally preferred solution. Buyers who prioritize quick micro-adjustment should check the clasp arrangement and sizing options against their own needs before ordering.

What did hands-on reviewers think?

In a studio hands-on review dated December 12, 2024, Brice Goulard of Monochrome praised the proportions, finishing and bracelet construction. He summarized the watch this way: “It’s not revolutionary but it shouldn’t be as an everyday sports watch.” That is a reviewer’s judgment, not a measured performance finding.

Vincent Deschamps’s July 2024 Fratello review focused on the V2 and called silver the most versatile color “according to me.” That preference is personal rather than the result of a comparative test. Taken together, the reviews support the case for a thoughtfully finished daily watch, but do not establish superiority over competitors.

Is the Windseeker fairly priced?

“Fair price” depends on the amount a buyer would pay today in their own region. Monochrome reported EUR 749 / USD 699 in December 2024, while Fratello cited an earlier EUR 649 price for the V2. Those are historical figures, not a current quote or a reliable basis for a present-day value verdict. Check Tusenö’s current regional checkout before comparing it with alternatives.

At the time the official pages were accessed on October 8, 2026, the EU silver listing showed in-stock status, while other regional pages and variants showed sold-out or waitlist status. Stock can change. Tusenö says EU checkout includes VAT; buyers outside the EU may face duties, import taxes, brokerage or customs fees. The brand states a two-year warranty from delivery; review its current terms and exclusions before purchasing.

What to compare before choosing one

The Windseeker’s strongest case is as a balanced, design-conscious daily watch. To decide whether it is the right all-rounder for you, compare the details that affect real wear and ownership rather than relying on a broad GADA label:

  • Check the 39 mm diameter and 47 mm lug-to-lug against a watch that already fits you well.
  • Choose a dial color for legibility and versatility, not just product-page appeal.
  • Verify the movement and power-reserve specification for the exact version being sold.
  • Consider whether 100 m water resistance and a screw-in crown suit your intended use; do not infer a dive certification.
  • Assess bracelet sizing, half-links, clasp preference and strap-changing needs.
  • Compare current local price, taxes, shipping, warranty terms and availability with other watches you are actually considering.
