How many Monte Carlo Automobiles Centenaires were built?
Broad Arrow Auctions gives a production total of five cars, built from 1990 through 1992. A Classic Driver market listing notes that published accounts vary, with some putting the number of original Centenaires between three and five. The five-car figure is therefore best treated as Broad Arrow’s stated count, not as an independently settled census.

What is a Centenaire worth?
Broad Arrow set a pre-sale estimate of €900,000–€1,200,000 for a 1990 Centenaire offered at its Zoute Concours Auction on October 9, 2026. That range was an estimate for one specific car, not a confirmed transaction or a price guide for every example.
As of October 12, auction tracking showed the result as awaited; another listing showed the auction had ended without displaying a realized amount. The available information does not establish a completed sale price. Accordingly, the estimate is the strongest recent public price reference here, but it should not be described as what the car sold for.

Why this particular example matters
Broad Arrow described its consigned car as the first of the five produced. Its announcement identifies a Lamborghini Countach 5000 QV-derived 5.2-litre V12 and a ZF six-speed manual transmission. These are auction-house descriptions of the offered car, not a model-wide appraisal or independent technical inspection.
Broad Arrow also said two Centenaires were later developed for trials for the 24 Hours of Le Mans and reportedly reached 354 km/h on the Mulsanne Straight. That is the auction house’s qualified account of those cars’ performance, rather than a verified result relevant to the offered car’s value.

What would determine another Centenaire’s value?
With so few cars and no statistically grounded model-wide market range established in the available sources, a single estimate cannot settle the value of a different example. Any assessment needs to address the individual car and the terms of a potential transaction.

Those checks matter especially when using the 2026 estimate as a reference: it applies to one consigned car, not to a verified market index for the Centenaire.
