The Xeric Timeline Retrograde Automatic uses a customized Miyota 9015-based movement to show minutes and hours on retrograde scales: the minute hand returns to zero each hour, while the hour hand resets at each 12-hour transition. Its listed specifications include a 38 mm steel case, sapphire crystal and 5 ATM water resistance.
How the retrograde display works
Xeric describes the Timeline as a linear time display. The minute hand travels along its scale and snaps back to zero at the top of each hour. The hour hand follows the same general principle on a 12-hour cycle, returning at the transition to the next 12-hour period. Movement and construction
The campaign FAQ names the movement as “Xeric Caliber X5.1 Automatic customized from a Miyota 9015.” That wording matters: X5.1 is Xeric’s customized version based on the Miyota 9015, not simply an unmodified Miyota caliber.
The FAQ lists a 316L stainless-steel case and bracelet, anti-reflective sapphire glass, applied indices with lume, and a pull-out crown. The retail listing also describes an exhibition caseback and magnified date window; those details appear in the listing rather than the FAQ’s feature list.

The listed 47 mm lug-to-lug measurement and 160 g weight are useful fit considerations alongside the 38 mm diameter. Dimensions alone cannot establish how the watch will sit or feel on a particular wrist.
Water resistance: what 5 ATM tells you
Xeric lists the watch at 5 ATM water resistance. That specification is not a guarantee for every water activity or a substitute for checking the manufacturer’s care guidance. Xeric’s manuals index includes an instruction-manual entry for the Timeline model; consult the model manual for operating and care instructions.

Production limit and buying availability
The campaign FAQ, updated February 19, 2025, states that production was limited to 999 watches per color. That is a stated production limit, not a count of remaining inventory or proof that any particular color is still available.

Xeric’s homepage displayed a limited-time $199 discount when checked for this article, but that offer may no longer be active; verify the current price and availability on the Xeric website.
