For a metal link bracelet, Casio recommends having the size adjusted by the retailer where you bought it: special tools are needed, and Casio advises against changing the number of segments yourself. Other band adjustments depend on the specific model, so check its official manual before trying to change the fit.
Identify the band and the adjustment you need
Check whether the watch has a metal link bracelet, a resin or rubber strap, or another design. Then find the model number, usually on the case back or in the watch’s documentation, and look up that model on Casio’s support site. A procedure for one Casio watch is not necessarily suitable for another.
Also distinguish between changing a band’s length and replacing or swapping the band. A feature that lets you exchange a band does not necessarily adjust the fit of a metal bracelet.
For a metal link bracelet, ask the retailer to size it
Casio’s official FAQ says special tools are required to change the number of band segments and advises owners not to do it themselves. It recommends taking the watch to the place of purchase for sizing. See Casio’s FAQ on adjusting the size of a metal band.

Because Casio’s guidance is specifically about changing metal-band segments, avoid applying generic instructions for removing pins, screws, or links unless the instructions are confirmed for your exact model and band. If you cannot return to the original retailer, consult an authorized Casio service center about service options.
For other bands, follow the exact model’s instructions
The available guidance does not establish one universal adjustment method for resin, rubber, or other Casio bands. Use the model number to find the relevant official manual or support page, and follow instructions that match both the watch and its band. Do not assume that a band-swapping mechanism changes the band’s length.

Band swapping is different from sizing
For example, Casio describes a one-touch band exchange structure on the MTG-B3000BD-1A2 product page. That is a model-specific band exchange feature, not a general method for shortening a metal link bracelet.

Casio’s model-specific Operation Guide 5611 warns that rust can create sharp areas and cause band pins to move or fall out. If you notice an abnormality, stop wearing the watch and contact the original retailer or an authorized Casio service center. This warning comes from Guide 5611; consult the manual for your own model for its applicable care and service instructions.
