Restart the watch and set the time
Wind it in the normal crown position
- With the crown pressed against the case (position A), turn it clockwise until the watch starts.
- Continue winding for about ten additional turns, as directed in Vacheron Constantin’s general setting manual.
Set the time
- Pull the crown to position B.
- For the few-days quick adjustment, move the hands forward until the correct weekday and date appear, then continue to the precise time.
- Vacheron Constantin’s general manual recommends moving the hour and minute hands clockwise. When finished, push the crown back to position A.

For a longer stop: follow the full-adjustment instructions for your reference
A full calendar reset is not one universal sequence for every Overseas perpetual calendar. The official quick-adjustment manual describes setting the hands to 4:40 a.m. or 4:40 p.m. before using calendar correctors, then setting the calendar to the day before the target date. In that manual’s sequence, adjust leap year and month, then date, then weekday, and finally advance the hands to the correct date and time. It identifies the corrector pen as supplied with the watch.
These are edition-specific instructions, not a safe generic sequence for every reference. Confirm that this manual matches your watch before following its steps. The official manual is available through Vacheron Constantin’s reference product page; if your watch or manual differs, ask Concierge or a boutique to identify the correct procedure.
Do not assume the corrector-safe hours are the same
The official manuals surfaced for this model family give different no-correction windows. One warns against day, date, and month corrections between 6 p.m. and 1 a.m.; another gives a restriction between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m., additionally warns against correcting the month between the 28th and the 1st, and sets a separate moon-phase restriction. Do not merge those cautions into a single rule: follow the timing restrictions printed in the manual for your exact reference and edition.

Moon-phase settings require the matching instructions
One official guide’s moon-phase procedure uses a calendar to identify the last new moon and count the elapsed days. Do not improvise that calculation or assume every Overseas Perpetual Calendar has the same moon-phase corrector layout.
