Check for a firmware update in Zepp
- Connect the watch to its paired phone. Amazfit’s update instructions assume the watch stays connected during the check and update.
- Open Zepp and select the watch. Depending on the app layout and model, find it under Device or Profile.
- Open the update option. Look for System Update or Check for Updates, then follow the app’s instructions if an update is offered. Official examples include Device > BIP MAX > General > System Update and Profile > Amazfit T-Rex 3 > System Update.
Menu labels and routes can change by model and app version, so use the support page for your exact watch if these steps do not match what you see. The Active 3 Premium FAQ advises keeping the watch battery above 50% during an update; treat that as model-specific guidance, not a universal requirement for every Amazfit watch.

Find which Amazfit model is paired
Start with the watch name listed in Zepp under Device or Profile. It identifies the paired device, but the reviewed official instructions do not establish one consumer procedure that distinguishes every model and regional variant. If the exact variant is unclear, compare the app’s device name with the product packaging or the support page for the watch.

Check the installed firmware version
Do not assume the update-check screen displays the firmware version currently installed. Amazfit’s reviewed support instructions explain how to check for updates, but they do not establish one current, universal route to the installed version across models. An older Amazfit Band 2 support page gives a version-check route for that product only; it is not evidence of the same path on newer watches. For the precise menu path, consult the support documentation for your model.
What “update history” can mean
Separate four different questions before looking for a record:

- Is an update available? Check System Update or Check for Updates in Zepp.
- Which firmware version is installed? This is a version-number question, not necessarily answered by the update-check screen.
- What releases has this model received? Check model-specific support information for release details, where available.
- What updates did this individual watch install, and when? The reviewed official sources do not establish a universal consumer-facing log of installed updates and dates for every watch.
If you need a particular release’s details, use the support page for the exact model rather than treating the app’s update check as a complete release history.

Security support is not a firmware history
Zepp Health’s security-support policy says it typically maintains security updates for at least two years after a model’s first shipment; some models may receive three years or longer, depending on circumstances. Its product security-support dates and end-of-life list describe stated security-support status. They do not show which firmware an owner installed, promise feature updates, or provide that owner’s full update timeline. Check the policy page for current product information because its list can change.
