Choose an MR-G by comparing its full case dimensions and weight, then narrow the shortlist by budget, band, timekeeping features, water-resistance specification, and design. Casio groups the collection into four useful families—B2000/B1000, B2100, B5000, and BF1000 Frogman—but no published wrist-size chart establishes which model will fit a particular wrist. Treat the measurements as a starting point and try shortlisted watches on before deciding.
Start with the MR-G family that matches your priorities
Casio’s US collection presents four families with distinct design briefs: the B2000/B1000 emphasizes toughness, the B2100 structural beauty and traditional aesthetics, the B5000 artisanal craft, and the BF1000 the Frogman diver lineage. These descriptions can help you choose where to look first, but they are not an objective ranking of quality or suitability. Casio’s MR-G collection

- B2000/B1000: a useful starting point if you want the collection’s toughness-oriented design language.
- B2100: consider it for its octagonal case design and traditional-aesthetic direction; individual models vary in materials and dial treatment.
- B5000: explore this family if artisanal finishing and material choices are central to your decision.
- BF1000 Frogman: a dedicated dive-oriented branch, with its own case proportions and water-resistance specification.
Compare the whole case, not just its width
Case length, width, thickness, and weight together give a more useful first impression than a single diameter or a vague label such as “large.” These are manufacturer-published case measurements; they are not a wrist-size chart, and case width should not be treated as a substitute for lug-to-lug length or a guarantee of comfort. How a watch sits also depends on its shape, band, clasp, and your preferences. Casio does not publish a wrist-circumference chart for these models.
| Model | Case dimensions (length × width × thickness) | Weight | Band and case details |
|---|---|---|---|
| MRG-B2100B-1A | 49.5 × 44.4 × 13.6 mm | 122 g | Metal band; titanium/Cobarion case and bezel material on Casio India’s listing. Casio India |
| MRG-G1000B-1A | 54.7 × 49.8 × 16.9 mm | 153 g | Titanium case and band. Casio US |
| MRG-BF1000R-1A | 56 × 49.7 × 18.6 mm | 132 g | Titanium case and bezel; Dura Soft fluoro-rubber band. Casio US |
On paper, the B2100B-1A is the thinnest and lightest of these three examples, while the BF1000R-1A is the thickest. That comparison describes published specifications only; it does not establish how either will feel on your wrist. Try each candidate on, checking whether the case overhangs, how the thickness feels under a sleeve, and whether the weight and band stay comfortable as you move your wrist.

Set a budget using prices from your own market
Prices and stock are specific to a market and product page, and may change. Casio’s US pages showed a list price of $3,000 for the MRG-G1000B-1A and $5,300 for the MRG-B2100B-1A when accessed on October 12, 2026. At that time, the G1000B-1A page showed sold out and the B2100B-1A page showed limited stock. These are US page indications, not verified transaction prices or a complete price ladder. Casio India’s pages listed the MRG-B2000R-1A at ₹250,000 including taxes and the MRG-B2100B-1A at ₹400,000 including taxes when accessed on October 12, 2026. Those Indian figures belong to that market and should not be converted into a US price comparison. Check local taxes, stock, and the current model-page price before purchase. Choose a band and materials you actually want to wear
Band type can change the wearing experience as much as the case. For example, the MRG-B2000R-1A uses a Dura Soft band and has a recrystallized-titanium bezel, according to Casio India. The BF1000R-1A also uses a Dura Soft fluoro-rubber band, while the B2100B-1A has a metal band. A metal bracelet’s fit depends on its adjustment and clasp; confirm both in person rather than assuming the case measurements tell the whole story.

Materials and finish can also be a deciding factor. Casio describes the MRG-B5000BA-1 as using a Ti64-based super-hard titanium alloy for its case and bezel, DAT55G for the band, and COBARION on the bezel top; the page also lists radio-controlled calibration and Bluetooth pairing. These are manufacturer material descriptions, not independent performance tests or a guarantee of scratch resistance. Casio US: MRG-B5000BA-1

For a different kind of design distinction, Casio Europe announced the MRG-B2100D on January 8, 2026, describing its three-dimensional lattice dial as inspired by kigumi wood joinery and finished in hanada-iro blue. That is an aesthetic distinction, not a fit or performance advantage. Casio Europe announcement

Do not assume that features are identical across MR-G. Check the exact reference and market listing, especially if a particular timekeeping function or water-resistance designation matters to you.

| Model | Published timekeeping and power details | Published water-resistance detail |
|---|---|---|
| MRG-B2100B-1A | Solar power, smartphone link, and radio control | 20 bar |
| MRG-G1000B-1A | GPS hybrid radio-controlled, solar-powered timekeeping | 200 meters |
| MRG-BF1000R-1A | Frogman dive-oriented model; check the model page for operating details | ISO 200-meter water resistance |
The ratings above are the specifications stated for those references, not a claim that every MR-G has the same rating. The BF1000 Frogman’s dive-oriented identity and ISO 200-meter specification are a distinct use case; do not treat them as a general advantage for every buyer. Read the manufacturer’s guidance for the exact watch and intended activity.

- It can be a gift option
- Comes with secure packaging
- Helpful in various ways
Make a shortlist, then try it on
- Pick a family. Use Casio’s four family descriptions to identify the design direction that interests you.
- Compare the full dimensions and weight. Look at length, width, thickness, and grams together, then consider how the case shape and band might affect wear.
- Check local cost and availability. Confirm the current price, taxes, and stock on the Casio page for your region; distinguish a standard model from a limited-edition design where the listing identifies one.
- Verify the reference-specific features. Confirm the power source, radio/GPS/Bluetooth functions, band, and water-resistance wording on that model’s listing.
- Try shortlisted watches on. Assess case overhang, thickness, weight, bracelet adjustment or soft-band feel, clasp preference, and dial legibility. Published dimensions cannot replace this check.
