Compare the Metro sizes
The official NOMOS materials cited here give measurements for three Metro size groups. These are case specifications, not guarantees of how large a watch will look or feel on a particular wrist.

Use wrist circumference as context, not a sizing rule
NOMOS shows Metro 33 variants on people with wrist circumferences of 14.5 cm (5.7 in), 15 cm (5.9 in), 16 cm (6.3 in), and 17 cm (6.7 in). Some examples pair the watch with XS or S straps. These are brand examples—not universal case-size thresholds—and the strap labels describe strap sizing rather than prescribing a case diameter.

The cited Metro 33 steel models measure 33.0 mm across, 7.5 mm high, and 40.0 mm from lug to lug. NOMOS’s product page describes it as having “a smart diameter of just 33 millimeters.” That is the manufacturer’s description, not independent evidence that 33 mm is right for every wearer. Check how the lugs sit on your wrist
Case diameter is only one part of fit. Lug-to-lug length measures the span between the ends of the lugs, which matters when judging whether a watch sits comfortably across the top of your wrist. For the Metro 33, that span is 40 mm. Compare it with the flatter area across your wrist: if the lugs appear to overhang, or the watch feels too small or too prominent, try another size if possible.

A circumference measurement cannot show wrist shape or how the lugs meet your wrist. If you can, try the watch on in person; a photograph and a tape measure cannot fully reproduce its fit or visual presence.
Choose the visual scale you prefer
Within these official examples, the 33 mm Metro is more compact by diameter than the 35 mm Metro neomatik and 38.5 mm Metro 38. That is a relative comparison, not a universal style recommendation. Consider whether you want a compact presence or a larger-looking case, then assess that preference alongside how the lugs sit—not circumference alone.

Keep strap sizing separate from case sizing
The cited Metro 33 configurations have a 16 mm lug width and quick-change spring bars. Lug width is useful when checking replacement straps, but it does not establish compatibility with every strap: end shape and the exact watch reference can matter. Confirm the specifications for your particular Metro before buying a strap. The XS and S labels in NOMOS’s wearer examples refer to strap sizing, not case size.

In a November 2025 press release, NOMOS described Metro as “a watch suitable for most wrists” because of its moderate size.
