Tap App notifications. If there is a filter, choose All to see the available apps. Apps may be grouped as Watch apps and Phone apps.

Turn an app’s switch on or off to allow or block its alerts on the watch. Depending on the software version, the list may instead be labeled See all or All apps.
From the watch
On supported models, open Settings > Notifications > App notifications, select an app, and change Allow notifications. This controls alerts by app rather than muting every notification at once. Samsung’s notification guide describes both phone-app and watch-side controls.
Choose where notifications appear
Some Galaxy Wearable versions offer a phone-versus-watch delivery setting. Its name and behavior depend on the model; use the label shown in your app rather than looking for one universal switch.
- Show phone notifications on watch: This label appears in Samsung’s guide for Watch7 and Watch Ultra with a Galaxy Z Fold6.
- Smart device selection: Samsung’s Watch8 and Watch Ultra guide describes this behavior: notifications go to the phone while you are using it, and to the watch when the phone screen is off or locked.
- Always show on both: Where offered, this sends notifications to both devices. Samsung cautions that showing alerts on both may affect battery use.
- Show while using phone: Some older models may use this separate label.

Adjust how alerts look on the watch
In Galaxy Wearable, open Watch settings > Notifications > Advanced settings or Advanced notification settings. Depending on the model and software, options may include:
- Notification indicator: Show an indicator on the watch face when notifications are unread.
- Show with details: Display notification details automatically instead of requiring an extra tap.
- Screen wake: Wake the watch display when a notification arrives. Samsung notes this does not wake the screen for muted notifications.
- Newly installed apps: Automatically enable notifications for newly installed phone apps, if the option is available.
Samsung marks its notification reminder feature as unavailable on Wear OS models, so not every advanced option applies to every Galaxy Watch. See Samsung UK’s notification instructions for additional model and menu variation notes.
Change notification volume and sound
To adjust audible alerts, open Galaxy Wearable and tap Sounds and vibration. Change Volume or choose a Notification sound. On Wear OS models, check that notification volume is enabled if you expect to hear alerts.
Samsung documents a read-aloud behavior for notifications when earbuds are connected to the watch. Earbuds are not required for ordinary watch notifications.

Use Do Not Disturb when you want a quiet period without changing individual app permissions. Samsung says it mutes calls, notifications, and other alerts, and prevents the watch screen from turning on for those alerts.

On the watch, open Settings > Notifications > Do not disturb and enable it, or turn it on from the Quick panel.

If your phone and watch support it, enable Do Not Disturb synchronization in Galaxy Wearable to sync the setting with the connected Galaxy phone.

- Confirm pairing: App-level watch notification controls are managed through the paired phone’s Galaxy Wearable app.
- Check the menu label: App lists and delivery controls can have different names across software versions and generations.
