What are IFL’s Citizen Tsuyosa concept watches?
They are Citizen Tsuyosa-based watches that IFL modifies with custom artwork or other changes. IFL’s product disclosure says the watches are opened and modified after the original retail purchase, and that the customization is not performed, authorized or endorsed by the original manufacturer. That distinction matters: an IFL concept watch is not the same thing as an official Citizen collaboration.
IFL’s current and dated materials describe several concepts rather than one single launch announcement or a fixed collection page. Designs and specifications vary by model, so a detail listed for one watch should not be assumed to apply to another.

What the specifications do—and do not—tell you
IFL’s published details establish different case finishes, dial treatments and features for particular concepts, but the available descriptions do not support treating every modified watch as having identical specifications. For example, the 50 m water-resistance figure is stated for Dive in Time and Kanji; do not extend it to Kyoto, Time is Money or Wise Guys without a model-specific specification.
Citizen’s U.S. collection page describes TSUYOSA as an automatic-movement collection, but regional lineups can differ. A useful buying check is to confirm the exact base reference, movement, dimensions, water-resistance rating and included warranty or service terms on the listing for the individual IFL watch.

IFL customization versus Citizen’s official Tsuyosa releases
Citizen has also announced its own Tsuyosa releases, separate from IFL’s custom work. One is the Citizen x seconde/seconde/ NJ0157-81L, announced for February 21, 2026. Citizen describes a pixel-art katana minute hand and indices depicted as cut by the sword; the announced Japanese suggested retail price was ¥73,700, with a worldwide limited run of 3,600 pieces. This is an official Citizen collaboration, not an IFL product.
For that Citizen reference specifically, the published specifications include a 40.0 mm stainless-steel case and bracelet, sapphire crystal, blue dial, Cal. 8210 automatic and hand-winding movement, stated accuracy of −20 to +40 seconds per day, approximately 42 hours of power reserve and 5 bar water resistance. These figures apply to NJ0157-81L and should not be generalized to IFL-modified watches or every Tsuyosa variant. Citizen also announced four sporty Tsuyosa models for March 5, 2026, with 10 bar water resistance and rotating bezels.

What to check before buying
- Confirm the exact model and base watch. IFL’s concepts do not all share the same stated specifications.
- Read the modification disclosure. IFL says its customization is not performed, authorized or endorsed by Citizen.
- Verify stock and final cost. The pages checked showed sold-out or waitlist states; the Kyoto listing excluded import duties and taxes.
- Separate vendor claims from tested performance. Specifications in IFL’s article are vendor-published; no independent testing is established here.
- Distinguish the concept from official Citizen releases. The seconde/seconde/ model is a Citizen collaboration, whereas the concepts discussed here are IFL customizations.
