The IKEPOD MEGAPOD HOUR GLASS is an automatic-watch series distinguished by an hourglass-shaped seconds hand, but the name covers multiple references rather than one watch. The evidence available here is product-announcement and technical material—not a hands-on review—so fit and handling cannot be judged. The later Japan-only M006 Zaha is one specific version, with a 46 mm case and a four-piece announced limit.
What is the MEGAPOD HOUR GLASS?
IKEPOD’s MEGAPOD collection debuted in 2020 after the brand’s revival. Japanese distributor Josawa Company credits Alexandre Peraldi, formerly a design director at Baume & Mercier, with shaping a more modern dial design that pays homage to the original. The HOUR GLASS series, introduced in 2024, draws inspiration from IKEPOD’s 2010 Hour Glass watch.
Its defining detail is a seconds hand shaped like an hourglass. The distributor says the hand circles the dial once every 60 seconds, borrowing the original watch’s hourglass motif for the seconds display. Josawa Company’s official news archive documents the series and later editions.
Which reference is this, and how do the editions differ?
“MEGAPOD HOUR GLASS” does not identify a single reference. The initial 2024 launch comprised seven references and 100 watches worldwide, according to Josawa Company. The later M006 Zaha and M301 Klara are separate releases, not additions that should be folded into the 2024 total.

These counts belong to their stated releases: the 100-piece figure applies to the 2024 seven-reference range, while the four-piece and ten-piece figures apply to the later Zaha and Klara editions. Josawa Company’s official news archive records the releases; its M006 Zaha announcement is dated September 30, 2025.

The 5 ATM figure is the distributor’s specification; it does not establish suitability for diving or any particular water activity. The price, edition limit and Japan-only distribution describe the 2025 announcement, not current stock, resale value or present-day availability. How the 2024 range’s specifications compare
Monochrome Watches’ 2024 technical overview describes the original seven-reference range. Its measurements differ from the later Zaha announcement, so the two sets should remain attached to their respective references and sources.

Monochrome’s technical account is for the 2024 range, not a technical confirmation of every later edition. In particular, its 18.25 mm height and 50 m water-resistance figures should not be substituted for the M006’s 17 mm thickness and 5 ATM listing. How does a 46 mm MEGAPOD fit?
The M006’s listed 46 mm diameter is useful when judging whether to investigate the watch in person, but diameter alone does not establish how it wears. The available sources do not provide wrist-size testing, lug-to-lug measurement, strap-adjustment observations or independent wear impressions for this reference. No reliable comfort or wrist-size recommendation can be made from the published dimensions alone.

Before buying, check the exact reference and, if possible, try it on with the strap adjusted to your wrist. That is especially worthwhile if case size or thickness is a concern; the distributor lists the Zaha at 17 mm thick, while Monochrome reports 18.25 mm height for the 2024 range.
